The many regions that players have visited throughout the Pokemon games all draw inspiration from real-world locations, inspiring one fan from Amsterdam to imagine what a counterpart to their home city would look like in the world of Pokemon. Their absolutely amazing pixel art project not only captures a similar vibe to that associated with the older Pokemon games, but also does a great job of showcasing what a Netherlands-inspired region might look like in the games' world.
A total of 9 unique regions have been introduced throughout the core-series Pokemon titles over the years, though players are able to visit other locations such as the Orre and Pasio regions in various spin-off titles as well. Though the regions introduced throughout the first 4 Pokemon generations are each based on different parts of Japan, every core-series game since then has focused on showing off entirely new parts of the Pokemon world, with players having visited regions based on New York, France, Hawaii, the United Kingdom, and more. The most recent, the Paldea region, is heavily inspired by Spain, but fans have long wondered what a region based on the Netherlands would look like.
Extensive discussion and various theories regarding a potential Netherlands-based Pokemon region in the past is likely what helped inspire a Pokemon fan by the name of yoellistrator to bring the idea to life in the form of pixel art. This impressive project was entirely hand pixelled, and features a short video showing the Gen 5 male protagonist, Hilbert, walking around a small town based on Amsterdam. The location is complete with canals alongside the buildings, plenty of bikes, animated flower beds, and much more. It may provide a familiar glimpse into a Pokemon art style from ages past, but it nonetheless provides a believable vision of what the Netherlands might look like in the Pokemon world.
Though the Pokemon franchise itself is close to 30 years old now, its various regions have only touched on a handful of real-world countries. There's plenty of room for the world of Pokemon to grow in the future, leaving the fanbase constantly speculating as to what the next generation's region may be based on. Some fans have considered the Netherlands to have been teased as a future region several times before, mainly due to small details in the games such as paintings depicting what some have perceived as landscapes from the Netherlands.
It ultimately seems unlikely that these sorts of details actually mean much, but at least the Pokemon fanbase knows with certainty which region they'll be revisiting next. While the Gen 10 games are likely a few years away, the recently-revealed Pokemon Legends: Z-Awill be taking players back to the France-inspired Kalos

At this point, Overwatch 2 has become notorious for its expensive cosmetics. It's not at all unusual to see skins available to buy that cost roughly $25, which is a considerable price for a single in-game outfit. To put it into perspective, that's $5 more than the price of the original Overwatch's standard edition back before the free-to-play sequel replaced it.
