PlayStation Plus Game Catalog gets Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and more this month

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive’s MudRunner line of games has garnered its fair share of fans by now, and soon, it’ll be returning with another outing in the form of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. In the lead-up to its launch in March, Focus Entertainment has released a new gameplay overview trailer of the game.

You ever get one of those awkward phone calls from your cousin that he and his family are in town and want to drop in for an unexpected house visit? Or your buddy texts you about arguing with their roommate, and they need to come over and cool down. Or, perhaps, the most dread-inducing — your coworker’s kid-sitter canceled, and they need an emergency backup. Suddenly, you’ve got guests over, and you need to keep them entertained for a while. Fortunately for you, you’ve got a PlayStation Plus membership and extra controllers, which means one thing:  it’s local multiplayer time.

A PlayStation developer has revealed that the company is planning a large array of PC ports of their top games later in the year.

The PlayStation Plus subscription service is pretty much a must-have for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms. However, three tiers are available for PlayStation Plus, so if you’re on the most basic tier, you’re missing out on access to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. This feature is reserved for those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium. With it, you’ll gain access to a wide assortment of video game titles to enjoy. However, while the game service does provide players a means to enjoy a new collection of games added into the mix monthly, there is a collection of titles that end up getting tossed out. 

2015’s Until Dawn was an early stand-out PlayStation 4 exclusive. Developed by Supermassive Games, it effectively asked players to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to a horror movie. Everyone has yelled at characters not to run upstairs when pursued or split up to search for somebody, but Until Dawn let you make those calls.

If you're a PlayStation 5 player, you have probably noticed the all-new PlayStation Plus tiers the company rolled out in recent years. The highest tier gets you get access to exclusive discounts, a selection of free current-gen games and the biggest selling point: the Classics Catalog. So considering it's over twice the price of the Essential tier, is it worth the extra cost?

We heard last week that Diablo IV Season 3 would be dropping this month, and today Blizzard fully unveiled what that update will entail. Diablo IV: Season of the Construct has a steampunk-ish theme, with new mechanical enemies, and allies, being added to the game. Players will be able to battle side-by-side with an AI “Seneschal Companion,” which you can customize the way you like. You can also delve into the challenging new Vaults, a type of dungeon that will offer big rewards if you can get through them without dying too many times. January’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles are now available.

Square Enix has announced that its 4v4 online party shooter Foamstars will release on February 6th for PS4 and PS5. A new trailer is available, showcasing the gameplay and confirming three modes – Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival and a new addition, Rubber Duck Party. Check it out below.

A demo for action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink will launch for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on January 12, publisher Cygames and developer Cygames Osaka announced. It is available now in regions where it is already January 12, such as New Zealand (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4).
