Blizzard has released a new patch for Diablo 4 that significantly reduces the cost of Masterworking material cache transmutes.

The latest official video from Blizzard revealed some of the upcoming changes to the costs of Masterworking. Blizzard has previously mentioned that they have increased the crafting costs now that Masterworking can no longer fail.

These are the costs for various Masterworking ranks in comparison between the PTR and the upcoming Live version of Patch 1.4.0.
The numbers below have been found in the latest official Diablo 4 video and may not be final. They are the result of Blizzard changing Masterworking to no longer be able to fail and instead increasing the crafting material and Gold costs.
Resetting the Masterworking ranks on an item now comes at a cost, which seems to scale depending on how much Masterworking was done to it. Only the costs to reset an item at Rank 12 is currently known.
