Patch 1.15 Build 52212 PTR Datamining - Season of Discovery Rune Changes

WoW Classic: Season of Discovery is leaning into the exploration and discovery aspects of this seasonal version of the game. Players need to explore the world to unlock their new Runes, as well as complete puzzles, and defeat special NPCs. Here is our guide on the Wandering Swordsman in WoW.

This raid has been redesigned for Season of Discovery with entirely new boss encounters and mechanics.

Season of Discovery has introduced a new Rune Engraving system, and with it comes new roles to several Classes: Warlocks, Rogues and Shamans can Tank, and Mages can Heal! The Runes required to pull this off have all been discovered, and this article will cover how to unlock each rune. One of the main reasons that Blizzard didn't put its Season of Discovery up on the World of Warcraft Classic PTR was to retain the mystery of the rune treasure hunt. Well, just four days after launch, they've all been found.

With the discovery of Metamorphosis, Earth Shield, and Cobra Strikes, all 108 runes in Phase 1 of WoW Classic Season of Discovery have now been found! Many runes have multiple sources, not all of which may be entirely detailed yet, but it appears that most can be obtained by any character regardless of race or faction, as long as they don't require a race-specific quest or defeating an otherwise faction friendly mob.

So there you are, slaughtering innocent bears, and one of them drops an item called Waylaid Supplies: Copper Bars. What could this be? I'm glad you asked. As the conflicts wage on, both the Horde and the Alliance have established supply networks to get their troops what they need when they need them. But there is a problem; it's not just bears and Copper Bars, shipments of all types keep getting waylaid and supplies are going missing. Durotar Supply and Logistics (Horde) and the Azeroth Commerce Authority (Alliance) will pay good money to get their shipments back. But there is more. When you find these shipments, inevitably there is stuff missing. So here is what you do: you can return that shipment to a DS&L or ACA representative as-is, and get a reward, or you can make up the missing goods from your own supplies and turn it in for a better reward. It's your choice, but don't underestimate the power of the good will of these organizations. Once you reach Friendly with these factions, they will allow you to buy from them. And when you reach Honored, you can buy Runes, including Rune of Teasing which is necessary for Rogue Tanks.
