Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door – How to Get the Ticket to Glitzville

Star Wars Outlaws, the upcoming open-world action-adventure from Massive Entertainment set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, is slated to be the biggest game of the summer, and today during the Ubisoft Forward showcase, we got a fresh look at the game in action. The new gameplay footage mostly focuses on the game’s expansive world and the activities you’ll encounter there, including a visit to Tatooine and Mos Eisley, including the infamous cantina.

Following today’s big Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft and Activision fully pulled the wraps back on what’s sure to be the biggest game of the year with the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct. After a couple shaky years for the CoD franchise, this looks like the game fans have been waiting for, with an ambitious campaign, major updates to core gameplay, the return of round-based Zombies, and more. Earlier this year, Xbox finally gave us a first peek at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the new first-person action-adventure under development at Wolfenstein developer under the watchful eye of producer Todd Howard. That first trailer certainly got tongues wagging, and delivered plenty of the puzzle solving and derring-do the series is known for, but, of course, fans wanted more.

This year’s Summer Game Fest show may not have had as many big reveals as some past iterations (although there was a notable reveal or two) but the show did culminate in a pretty impressive trailer for the upcoming PS5 console exclusive Phantom Blade Zero. The trailer features some eye-popping Unreal Engine 5 visuals, big, bad bosses, and some downright-frantic action – the swords are flying fast and furious in the one. Today, NVIDIA has announced that CAPCOM's Street Fighter 6 has joined the GeForce NOW library (as previously confirmed), allowing cloud users to enter the fray. The other major weekly additions to GeForce NOW are Ubisoft's free-to-play competitive first-person shooter game XDefiant, which registered strong numbers at launch, and the asymmetric multiplayer horror game Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game.

While we’ve known about the existence of Concord for over a year now, Sony’s new PvP multiplayer shooter has remained quite mysterious. The game is the work of Firewalk Studios, a new startup headed up by a team of Destiny vets, and teasers have hinted at a colorful, character-driven approach to the genre. Beyond that, details have been scant.

Among the many quality PlayStation 5 exclusives, few are more underappreciated than Astro’s Playroom. Sure, it was just a relatively small-scale pack-in title, but Astro’s Playroom was a ton of fun and made better use of the Dualsense controller’s unique features than any game since. It feels like the project has been close to release for some time now, and yet info has been hard to come by, to the point even remake developer Bloober Team has seemed frustrated by the situation. Well, thankfully, today during Sony’s latest State of Play showcase, we got a fresh peek at the new Silent Hill 2, and more importantly, a spooky October release date.
