After much anticipation, Palworld received update v0.2.0.6, which added its first Raid Boss and a new Pal, Bellanoir, to the open-world survival game. Along with the new content, Palworld has made several interface adjustments, balancing, and bug fixes, and added a quality-of-life change to one of its core mechanics.
This mechanic is condensation, something fundamental for Palworld players to create stronger teams and increase their Partner Skill level, something important for the late game. To condense a Pal, Palworld players must sacrifice Pals of the same species, resulting in a base Pal with a blue star indicating that the condensation has successfully happened. Every Pal used in condensation is lost forever, so there are Pals that optimize condensation, resulting in better stats. Condensing Pals is quite an expensive process, but after the latest update, Palworld has finally addressed player feedback on this aspect.
Palworld has added partial condensation in update v0.2.0.6, and players of the open-world survival game are showing their love for the quality-of-life tweak. Reddit user silver-potato-kebab- is one of these players, who posted a video showing how partial condensation works by condensing several Nox Pal Essences. They start condensing 11 Pal essences of the night exclusive Pal, and at one point in the video, the player points out that although the condensation step requires 16 essences, they manage to use the six essences they had, making a successful partial condensation.
Players have often accused Palworld's condensation mechanics of being too grinding and time-consuming, due to the very demanding requirements for condensing Pals. But along with the criticism, players have made numerous suggestions for improving condensation. Some ideas include allowing partial condensation, reducing the amount of Pals needed for each stage, and even adjusting the value of already condensed Pals, which would make them worth more essence than regular ones.
The arrival of partial condensation in Palworld's v0.2.0.6 update shows that developer Pocketpair is actively listening to its players, and making the necessary adjustments to the popular survival game to enhance the gameplay experience. With the partial condensation finally available in Palworld, players can now test out the possibilities brought by this long-awaited adjustment. In addition, the devs have finally introduced a much-requested solution to help manage resources, increase the efficiency of Pals reproduction, and help Palworld players search for better Pals.
