Pokemon GO has announced a new Hatching Day event featuring Fairy-type Cleffa. Pokemon GO players expand their Pokemon collections through different activities, one of which is hatching eggs. Eggs can be obtained from PokeStops and Gyms, and the Pokemon GO player gets a random Pokemon by walking the required distance.
There are five types of eggs in Pokemon GO, the most common being the 2 KM, and the 12 KM being the rarest Pokemon GO egg. Each egg type has its own pool of Pokemon that can hatch from it, but this changes as Pokemon GO adds new Pokemon or announces new events. There are Pokemon that trainers only get from eggs, however, like the adorable baby Pokemon. To help Pokemon GO players increase their records, Niantic has announced a new event centered on one of these cute little critters.
Pokemon GO has announced a new Hatch Day featuring Cleffa that will take place on April 28 from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During the event, Pokemon GO players will hatch Cleffa more frequently from 2 KM eggs, with the chance of a shiny Cleffa appearing. Cleffa Hatching Day will have the bonus of double Candy when hatching eggs, increased odds for players to get a shiny Cleffa, and 2 KM eggs will drop more often when Pokemon GO players spin PokeStops.
During Hatching Day, Pokemon GO players will have access to free Timed Research with XP and a Super Incubator as rewards. For $1, trainers can purchase Timed Paid Research that will reward them with twice as much Stardust when they hatch eggs, a Star Piece, a Super Incubator, and XP. Between April 26 and 28 from 10 am to 5 pm, Pokemon GO players will only need half the required distance to hatch eggs, a new event-themed Field Research will be available, and two new bundles will be up for purchase, one in the Pokemon GO Web Store, and the other in Pokemon GO's in-game shop.
Cleffa isn't one of the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO, but its appearances are relatively uncommon. Before the upcoming Hatch Day, the Pokemon appeared in Pokemon GO's New Year's event, in which Niantic increased the chances of players hatching one of 7 KM eggs. Cleffa Hatch Day will also be a good opportunity for Pokemon GO players to farm Candy, an important resource for increasing the power of their Pokemon.
