Ori developer confirms solo offline mode in No Rest for the Wicked

The quest in is a mission you can only complete by saving a captured NPC within a certain amount of time. The game doesn't tell you this limitation, making it incredibly easy to fail as you may get distracted by other content in this massive RPG. Those looking to earn this quest's rewards successfully will have to stay focused to avoid failure.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 often dumps a quest in your lap and doesn’t explain how to solve it. The quest ‘Hunt for the Jadeite Orb‘ is one of those quests. For those burned by Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Nightingale with their lack of offline options, there’s some good news. Moon Studios’ co-founder and tech/production director Gennadiy Korol revealed on Twitter that action RPG No Rest for the Wicked won’t require an online connection for single-player.

Moon Studios, the folks behind the Ori platformer games, are working on a new project titled No Rest For The Wicked. The game is a Soulslike ARPG that was announced at The Game Awards late last year. The studio’s “Wicked Inside” livestream gave fans their first extended look at the game and we’ve got the details.

Announced for PS5 at The Game Awards last year, No Rest for the Wicked has returned with a lengthy gameplay showcase. Narrated by developer Moon Studios — the Austria-based team behind the Ori games — the footage shows huge promise. It's an isometric, dark fantasy RPG where you make your own character, experiment with various weapon-based fighting styles, and engage in bloody battle.

Moon Studios, creators of the impeccable Ori and the Blind Forest, has finally held a showcase for its next game, No Rest for the Wicked. It details the world, combat, and what already feels like a gripping story drenched in darkness and brimming with depth.

The two Ori games were gorgeous platformers that challenged your dexterity while tugging on your heartstrings. The next game from developers Moon Studios seems more likely to do the former than the latter. No Rest For The Wicked is a Souls-ish action RPG that apparently thinks you're extremely wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked from Moon Studios launches for PC via Steam Early Access on April 18th, and a roadmap has already been laid out. However, several details and gameplay were also revealed during the Wicked Inside Showcase, including the opening section. Check it out below.
