OneXplayer is the first manufacturer to unveil an Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPU-powered 3-in-1 Laptop PC with support for OCulink dGPUs.
The new device revealed by OneXplayer is a 3-in-1 PC solution known as X1. The device is named as "OneXPlayer X1" and is reportedly a part of a new lineup, the OneXPlorer, hinting that the company might start a new portfolio based on a 3-in-1 design but in a smaller form factor. The device has a 10.95-inch display and an attachable keyboard while rocking a touch panel to use it as a handheld device.
The interesting part is the inclusion of Intel's newly launched Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPU, which is the first time we have seen the chip's debut in a device such small. While OneXPlayer hasn't particularly specified what CPU they are going for, the company's promotional material reveals a "Core Ultra 7" chip.
As far as the specifics are concerned, it looks like we might get either of the Core Ultra 7 165H/165, judging by the fact that the chip consumes 28W of power, and is ideal for devices of such type. We have covered the chip and its respective performance here, hence you can take a look at it to get an idea of what OneXPlayer X1 will offer. If not that, then the company also has Core Ultra 100H in its stack which comes at lower 9W and 15W TDPs.
Moving on to other onboard specifications, the OneXPlayer X1 will come with a 2.5K resolution screen along with a 120Hz refresh rate to provide an optimal display for gaming. The device isn't entirely oriented for gaming consumers, since OneXPlayer has integrated multiple distinctive features such as Harman certified Stereo 2.0 audio system, suggesting that the device is designed for content consumption purposes as well.
Moreover, OneXPlayer has also revealed the inclusion of Oculink support in the device, through their discord channel, which means that connecting discrete GPUs with it would not only become much easier, but you could extract significant performance out of the device. The company hasn't revealed specifics such as the release date or pricing, but we expect the information to be available soon. OneXPlayer has opened up a beta testing program globally, which means that the device is far from launch.
