Old-school platformer Freedom Planet 2 launches on consoles this April

Unfortunately, it seems like we'll only have a few months left plying online with the 3DS and Wii U, as Nintendo has finally announced that all online play for both systems, as well as any functionality that uses online communication, will end on April 8 later this year.

Following some delays, Freedom Planet 2 finally made its PC debut in September 2022, and now it has its sights set on consoles. Publisher XSEED Games announced plans to bring developer GalaxyTrail’s sequel to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on April 4, 2024.

Freedom Planet 2 will launch on April 4th GalaxyTrail and Marvelous Europe has confirmed today, with the game set to be release for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. The new trailer shows the four protagonists that players can play as, and these include Lilac, Carol, or Milla, and a new playable character called Neera.

GalaxyTrail’s action platformer Freedom Planet 2 is out on April 4th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. It will be available digitally for $24.99 with cross-buy supported on PlayStation and Smart Delivery on Xbox platforms. Check out the latest trailer below.
