Nexon's live-service multiplayer Warhaven is shutting down on April 5, 2024, four months after entering global early access.
In an announcement shared on Steam, the developer said sales of Warhaven's battle pass will be suspended today, and it will update players of the exact shutdown schedule at a later date.
"Warhaven has come this far, thanks to everyone's love and support," it said. "We want to express our gratitude for the love and care you have shown for Warhaven."
The statement continued: "To create a game that could be cherished and enjoyed over an extended period, we invested much consideration and effort. Despite all the shortcomings, we will deeply cherish the warm affection and support you have sent towards Warhaven in our hearts. Thank you for being part of Warhaven's journey."
Warhaven's first alpha test took place in 2021, and went into global early access in September 2023.
There were plans for the game to leave early access sometime this year, as reported by GameSpot.

Nexon is ending online services for its free-to-play fantasy PvP game Warhaven, just months after its early-access launch on Steam.
The first month of 2024 isn’t over yet, but it’s already been a brutal year for the games industry, with thousands of people having lost their jobs in a barrage of industry-wide layoffs. Microsoft recently added a significant chunk to that number when it announced that it would be cutting 1,900 jobs across its entire gaming division, and it seems those layoffs are also going to come at the cost of the company’s physical distribution.
Microsoft has reportedly shut down its division for physical game releases as part of yesterday's mass layoffs. This comes as an increasing number of new releases opt to release digitally, skipping a physical launch entirely.

Developer and publisher Nexon has announced that medieval multiplayer free-to-play title Warhaven is coming to a close. The game’s online services are being taken down on April 5. In the announcement, the studio said that players will not be able to purchase in-game items, as WP charge is being suspended today.
Nintendo has announced that the online services for its older platforms—namely the 3DS and the Wii U—will be shut down on April 8. The announcement comes a few months after the shut down of the online services was announced back in October. For the sake of context, the ability to purchase titles on the eShop on these platforms was already discontinued back in March 2023.
Nier Reincarnation, the story-driven mobile RPG set in the popular Nier universe, will have its services ended this April. While the game will continue to receive support until then, its final story campaign will serve as its last big hurrah.
Nintendo has revealed exactly when most remaining online services for the 3DS and Wii U will come to an end. After 7AM ET on April 8, it will no longer be possible to jump into a multiplayer match on the original Splatoonor check out other players' levels in Super Mario Maker. Online co-op play, leaderboards and data distribution are among the features that won't be available on either console (unless you find an adequate homebrew solution). The Badge Arcade feature, which allows players to customize their Nintendo 3DS home menu, is going away too.
The Nintendo Wii U and 3DS online services will be terminated this April, but users will still be able to download purchased software and updates for their games.
