"Nothing to see here": the trademark dispute between GTA 6 and Alan Wake parent companies was already settled last year

Yesterday, the New York Videogame Critics Circle (NYVGCC) announced the winners of the 13th annual New York Game Awards in a dedicated ceremony streamed live from the SVA Theatre, with Baldur's Gate 3 once again emerging as the big winner.

A new report claims that the full title of DS2 is, in fact, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. I would not believe it if not for the fact that we're talking about a Hideo Kojima game here, and the name seems to be a reference to a 64-year-old film.

Remedy Entertainment's creative director Sam Lake has teased what fans can expect from Alan Wake 2's upcoming (downloadable content) DLC in regards to its ties to Control 2.

The recently reported trademark dispute between video game giant Take-Two Interactive and renowned developer Remedy Entertainment has already been resolved, the latter claimed. In addition, the studio noted that its working relationship with Take-Two Interactive remains unchanged.

Alan Wake is coming to Dead by Daylight at the end of this month, the tortured writer set to be the latest survivor in the long-running multiplayer horror game, but how did this come to be and what will Alan play like?

Update - 19/1/24:Speaking to Stephen Totilo over at Game File, a Remedy rep said that the matter had already been sorted out. 

Earlier this month, Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive made the exciting announcement that Alan Wake is being added to the game as a playable Survivor on January 30. His addition immediately has us all asking if any playable Killers from the Alan Wake series could be added in the future too, but Scratch has been taken off the table as he's "too close" to The Entity.

Game maker Take-Two Interactive has filed a lawsuit against Max Payne maker Remedy Entertainment, citing copyright infringement. Take-Two claims that Remedy Entertainment’s «R» Remedy logo is too similar to Rockstar’s «R» logo.

Dead by Daylight, the multiplayer survival horror released back in 2016, has had some eclectic crossovers in its eight years. From Chucky, to Halloween's Laurie Strode, to Nicolas Cage, it's giving Fortnite a run for its money.

Vince Staples is getting his own Netflix series. The rapper, and occasional actor, first tweeted about his show on Monday, but it wasn’t until Wednesday that we got our first look at it in Netflix’s new trailer and it already looks great. The series, called The Vince Staples Show, will premiere on Feb. 15.
