No, Cyberpunk 2077 didn't "remove" the Elon Musk NPC because he wasn't even in the game to begin with

X (formerly Twitter) has now added a new feature, which is being deemed controversial by a section of the users. The Elon Musk-owned social media platform now lets users restrict the replies to a post to only those who are verified by X, meaning they have the $7.99 monthly subscription. At the moment, X has not made it the default option, and ‘everyone can reply' is still set as default unless the user changes it. Some users are calling this feature a ‘paywall' to reply to posts, something which is considered a basic feature for social media platforms.

It wasn’t long into Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference that Cyberpunk 2077 was showcased alongside the famously “breathtaking” Keanu Reeves. Excitement pulsed through my body and poached my brain to an internal temperature of 170 degrees Fahrenheit. All other thoughts, goals, and desires melted away like tender meat falling from the bone. Playing this game became a singular concern in my life, a climactic mountain that stood unmoving in the horizon, cloaking everything else in shadow.

CD Projekt Red has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 25 million copies since its 2020 launch, as Phantom Liberty officially clears three million in its first week.

A live-action project based on Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in the early stages of development.

While CD Projekt Red is sadly moving on from Cyberpunk 2077 to focus on the sequel, meaning we won't be getting any more expansions or significant updates, there's still a wee bit of polishing to do. Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty arrived in a good state, but there's still some room for improvement, which is what patch 2.01 is focused on, squashing some bugs—including a particularly annoying one that's been around for years—and buffing the game's performance, particularly in Dogtown. 

X (formerly Twitter) has added another change to the iOS app version of its platform which might frustrate many users. The app has stopped showing headlines on the articles and other pages shared via URL to the platform in some regions. This means when a user shares a URL, it will only show the lead image of the web page and the domain name. As a result, users who follow Twitter accounts of news outlets and individuals who share the same will now face a tough time understanding what the content is about. Reports reveal that this change has directly come from company owner Elon Musk.

Starfield is a good game, but it's also been the subject of a perhaps-unexpected level of criticism from players, exacerbated by the triumphant Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 comeback. But in response to a player's complaints about Starfield's use of Creation Engine 2—an updated version of the aging Creation Engine that was first used in 2011 for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim—one Cyberpunk 2077 developer took a minute to defend Bethesda's sci-fi RPG, saying the issue isn't the technology but that Starfield developers «are just doing something different with their time.»

After completing the third primary expansion mission, «Spider and the Fly» in Phantom Liberty, you'll gain access to the «Balls To The Wall» side mission. This mission requires you to assist two eager chooms, Paco and Babs in getting themselves out of a sticky situation. And, while you may believe it is honorable to lend a helping hand, proceed with caution because this side mission has multiple outcomes, not all of which are favorable.

Former Twitter Trust and Safety Head, Yoel Roth, who resigned last year after a run-in with billionaire owner Elon Musk, has issued a stark warning to X (formerly Twitter) about its precarious position concerning the European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA) as well as its safety policies. Speaking at the recent Code Conference 2023, Roth, was interviewed by Kara Swisher. Roth highlighted X's withdrawal from the EU's Code of Practice on Disinformation in May and cited Commissioner Vera Jourova's accusation that the platform is a major disinformation spreader. Roth believes that a confrontation with EU regulators is now inevitable, given the DSA's severe penalties of up to 6% of global annual turnover for breaches. However, while that issue is still simmering, what really caught the eye was the poignant and stark reminder of what happened to Roth after the run-ins with Musk, including death threats that even forced him to sell his house and move in order to stay safe. Roth said these death threats were "inspired by the company's leader".

Billionaire Elon Musk, known for his online presence on X (formerly Twitter), is asking the general public, anyone with a smartphone, to make waves on the microblogging platform and thereby change the world for the better. Musk wants everyone to know that X is no longer just about text, that it's evolving into an all-in-one solution for users, covering everything from social media to banking.
