Expectations may be high for an often-rumored Nintendo Switch 2, but until Nintendo announces something new, the best option around remains the Switch OLED. Since it’s been such a big year for Nintendo games, there’s really no shame in getting a Switch so late into the console’s lengthy lifecycle, and you can do so with some very good deals.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model with either white or neon red and blue Joy-Con controllers is on sale once again for its lowest price of $289.99 ($60 off) at Monoprice. The OLED model is the best Switch for those who spend a lot of their game time in handheld mode since its seven-inch OLED display is a little larger than the standard model and offers much better picture and color quality (yes, even at 720p). It also sports a kickstand that’s actually usable and a dock with an ethernet port. In a nutshell, if you want the best-looking handheld experience for Super Mario Bros. Wonder or Tears of the Kingdom, the OLED is the one you want.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model packs in a bunch of subtle refinements, including a seven-inch OLED display, improved audio performance, and a better kickstand.
This deal may be a little bit niche, but if you want to get into podcasting or livestreaming, there are tons of options out there for a quality microphone that uses the traditional XLR connection. If you go that route, check out the Elgato Wave XLR, a USB audio interface that’s dead simple to use and is currently on sale for $129.99 ($30 off) at Amazon.
Part of what makes the Wave so good is that it can handle popular mics like the Shure SM7B, which is notorious for its low signal, without the need for an additional preamp — you just plug a mic like that in and get solid audio levels without much fuss. It’s part of the reason our very own Tom Warren uses that exact combo on his desk for calls and his guest spots on The Vergecast. The Wave also handles quite easily, with its large physical dial doubling for use as your headphone volume and mix control between your PC and mic.
Elgato’s Wave XLR allows simplified use of advanced and pro-level microphones using an XLR connector, with a big rotary dial for controlling audio levels. The compact audio interface connects to a computer via USB, and it has enough output for even quieter mics like a Shure SM7B without the need for an additional in-line preamp.

The folks at Valve are big fans of Nintendo's Switch OLED handheld console.
Over a year after first announcing its first handheld gaming PC, Valve has revealed the Steam Deck OLED – a new iteration with an improved display, better audio, and greater battery life, to name a few of the big changes.
We're still a fortnight out from the official start of Black Friday, but the deals have already begun to pop up.
If rumours are to be believed, the second half of 2024 will see the launch of the Switch 2, but in the meantime, Nintendo obviously has plans in place to continue pushing the sales of its current console. To that end, the company has announced new bundles and offers for the upcoming Holiday season.
With Black Friday and the holidays upon us, Nintendo has pulled back the curtains on its retail plans for the shopping season and they include a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate-themed Switch OLED bundle and two new Joy-Con colors.

Heads up; there's yet another Nintendo Switch OLED bundle arriving ahead of this year's Black Friday gaming deals.
A new Nintendo Switch OLED bundle with a Super Smash Bros Ultimate design is being released in the US for Black Friday.
The holiday season is almost upon us, and it's set to be a big one for Nintendo. Almost definitely the final holiday season during which the Switch is Nintendo's newest console - even though there has still been no official confirmation that a replacement is coming - sales of the juggernaut console still refuse to slow down all that much. The success of Super Mario Bros. Wonder will ensure that continues through the end of the year, and Nintendo appears to have a couple of Switch OLED models ready to go just to make sure sales remain high.
