Nintendo Quietly Releases Pikmin Finder Augmented Reality Game

Wicked Saints Studios raised $3.5 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round co-led by Riot Games and Oregon Venture Fund.

Nintendo is well known for its vast IP vault that has mostly been untouched for decades. F-Zero is one of those IPs, and it has not seen a release since the GameCube. Sure, the Wii U had an F-Zero minigame, and Mario Kart 8 has an F-Zero DLC, but it’s not the same. They were hope-filled crumbs that have led to nothing but pain and misery.

Mortal Kombat 1's recent launch on Nintendo Switch will undoubtedly go down as one of the most abysmal that the games industry has ever seen. Downgrades were expected due to the system's inferior hardware, but the port is filled with bugs, horrendous texture issues, and is nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a game being sold for $70. It looks remarkably worse than it did in the game's pre-release trailers, and it turns out there might be a good reason for that.

Following its launch on May 13, 2022, Saber Interactive has announced that any further development on Evil Dead: The Game will no longer go ahead, and the planned Nintendo Switch version of the title has been canceled. 

Mortal Kombat 1 leaves early access tomorrow (September 19), but ahead of its full release, fans of the series have been left stunned by the game’s performance on the Nintendo Switch. 

The next game in Square Enix’s SaGa franchise has been announced. Titled SaGa Emerald Beyond, the game was unveiled during the recent Nintendo Direct. SaGa Emerald Beyond is slated for release on the Nintendo Switch some time in 2024. Check out the trailer below.

Following many rumors that Princess Peach was going to be getting her own Nintendo Switch game, was officially announced with a release date during today’s Nintendo Direct. The monarch of the Mushroom Kingdom will be taking on Grape and the Sour Bunch using a myriad of different abilities to save the day.

On the other side of the pond, Japan’s version of the Nintendo Direct gave us some details on the game that Onion Games has been teasing for a while now. Titled Stray Children, it looks like a return to Yoshiro Kimura’s roots at Love-de-Lic, as the style is extremely evocative of Moon: Remix RPG Adventure.

Nintendo is in an unusual territory. Their Nintendo Switch is in its seventh year of being supported, with no official signs of what’s to come. That has a lot of consumers wondering just when the Nintendo company will be making their grand reveal of the successor console platform. However, a slew of reports surfaced shortly after Gamescom stated that select individuals were given a behind-closed-doors look at the new hardware with examples of the gameplay experience players could expect.

It might be coming sooner rather than later.

In Cologne last month, Nintendo's public Gamescom showfloor booth let you play Pikmin 4 and Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. But behind the scenes, the company had more up its sleeves.
