Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct Partner showcase for later this week on Wednesday February 21.
After numerous rumors about Nintendo airing a new Direct broadcast, a Partner showcase focusing on games from third-party developers and publishers has been confirmed. It should come as now surprise, however, as Nintendo has been traditionally airing Directs annually in February. According to Nintendo's official post on X, the Direct will air on February 21 at 6am PT and will be roughly 25 minutes in length. As said, the broadcast will focus on titles coming to the Nintendo Switch from publishing and development partners in the first half of 2024.

With this week's showcase being a "partner" Direct, odds are high that the broadcast will include the announcement of the heavily-rumored Hi-Fi Rush coming to Nintendo's platform. In addition, there's speculation about Pentiment also being announced for the Switch. Last week, during Microsoft's Xbox business update with Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond and Matt Booty, it was confirmed that, initially, four former Xbox exclusives are coming to rival platforms. Although Spencer didn't name the four titles going multiplatform, chances are high that these games include Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded. According to Spencer, however, these games coming to other platforms is a one-off experiment, although future titles coming to rival platforms isn't entirely ruled out.
"I don't think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform", Spencer said. "We're focused on these four games and learning from the experience. I don't want to create a false expectation on those other platforms that this is somehow the first four to get over the dam and then the dam's going to open and everything else is coming. That's not the plan today."

Video gamers are almost “trained” to look for “tiny details” about things they see or hear within trailers, reveals, and even the games themselves. After all, Easter Eggs are everywhere, and sometimes, the smallest details can reveal certain things about the project itself. It’s true that sometimes gamers get a bit TOO invested in the small details and make false assumptions, but regarding the latest Nintendo Direct, some fans feel they’ve seen their first tease about the Switch successor, and it’s not where you think it might be. In this case, it wasn’t about the games that were shown but the animations of the Direct itself.
Ah, it’s a new day, full of Nintendo news. We got our first Nintendo Direct of the year today with a Partner Showcase, spotlighting games arriving in the first half of 2024 for the Switch.

It’s become a bit of a tradition for Nintendo to drop a Direct presentation every February. That held up this year, but not in the way that some fans expected. Rather than dropping a 40-plus minute presentation highlighting upcoming first-party games, Nintendo released a more casual Partner Showcase today. The 25-minute video, which did not air live, instead highlighted upcoming third-party releases.
Nintendo's February Direct Partner Showcase has come and gone. This presentation was focused around third-party games so, as expected, there was no news on any homegrown Nintendo titles or the Switch 2's expected arrival in early 2025. However, the broadcast was still full of annoucements for games headed to Nintendo Switch from other publishers over the coming six months. Here's a roundup of everything which appeared during the 25-minute show.
The February 2024 edition of the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is coming in hot, so you may be wondering where you can find the stream to watch it when the time comes.
