New Hogwarts Legacy Content Coming Soon Alongside Exclusive Quest Fix

It's been a year since Avalanche Software released Hogwarts Legacy, the first open world action RPG set in the Harry Potter universe. The game went on to become the biggest commercial success of 2023, having now surpassed over 24 million units sold to date, according to publisher Warner Bros. games. It has outsold the likes of Call of Duty and FIFA (now EA Sports FC), not to mention rising to the top in an incredibly packed year of great game releases.

In celebration of the one-year mark for , some new stats have been released regarding how the past year has fared for the witches and wizards in the game. The open-world action RPG is set in the world made famous by, yet these events take place a century before Harry's adventures and feature a fantastic journey into history. Experiencing what it would be like to be a student at the magical school and be sorted into one of the four houses of Hogwarts has given players a chance to experiment with roleplaying and led to surprising results.

Hogwarts Legacy has now sold 24 million copies since its release in February last year, publisher Warner Bros. has said.

Discovery has for growth in the gaming space. The company values Harry Potter (the IP behind Hogwarts Legacy), Mortal Kombat (which has sold three million units since its debut last September), DC, and Game of Thrones franchises $1 billion each for their gaming potential, and it plans to capitalize on them all.

It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy was a huge revenue earner for Warner Bros. last year after becoming the best-selling title in the United States and the UK. However, after it sold over 22 million copies in 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently told Variety that it crossed 24 million sales.

Remember the PlayStation-exclusive content for Hogwarts Legacy that was available when the game launched in February 2023? It’s finally coming to other platforms later this Summer, per the official Twitter. There will also be additional “updates and features”, and players should stay tuned for more details this year.
