New expansion Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred will bring a brand new class to the franchise

The next entry in the Call of Duty series, set for a 2024 release, is a Black Ops title developed by Treyarch, according to a report from Windows Central.

There is always going to be a question about “how long video games should be, and everyone will have a different answer to things. Some will say that if they’re “too long,” people won’t finish them, and that can be true depending on the game and the player. But don’t tell Atlus that, okay? In contrast, if a game is “too short,” many people may think they’ve wasted their money, which is not what anyone wants. So, with SEGA and the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you might be surprised that this spinoff title will be the longest game in the franchise so far.

This, combined with many new quality-of-life changes that continue to be added to the dungeon-crawling experience and a new holiday event that is coming soon gave plenty to talk about at the convention. Much was revealed initially during the opening showcase of BlizzCon 2023, with more details given the following day at a live Campfire Chat with some of the devs.

On the opening night of BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard announced Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred, the first big DLC expansion coming to the action RPG blockbuster in late 2024.

During BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard Entertainment finally revealed its first paid expansion for Diablo 4 – Vessel of Hatred, which ventures to Torjang. As rumored, Mephisto will be the focus this time, and players can expect a new class unlike anything seen in the series. While the expansion is a ways off, we won’t have to wait too long for more information.

As the Diablo 4 community continues its hunt for a secret level that may or may not actually exist, the game’s production director has acknowledged players’ efforts and has offered a piece of advice that has sparked further speculation.

With Diablo 4 embracing a live service structure for the very first time, it's difficult to know exactly how Blizzard will handle the release of key expansions. Associate game director Brent Gibson sought to provide some clarity at BlizzCon 2023, telling me that "we're not going to pause" the seasonal structure when Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred launches next year.

IGN had the chance to speak to Diablo 4 production director Tiffany Wat and associate game director Joe Piepiora at BlizzCon 2023, and they dropped a pretty big hint about the highly sought-after but yet-to-be-confirmed Cow Level.
