New Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora trailer reveals details about the hero’s journey

Assassin's Creed Mirage is prepping to release this week, and before that, we've received global launch timings for the same. Ubisoft tweeted an infographic listing different timezones that point toward a staggered release — meaning the game unlocks at different times across the world. On console, the ninth-century Baghdad-set title goes live at midnight local time on October 5, which means the more impatient players can try changing their system's location to New Zealand to try and get in early. So far, the release schedule is straightforward, with preloading already live across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. However, the PC unlock is a tad confusing, with some regions getting a headstart by as much as a day.

I recently had the opportunity to check out the first episode of Shangri-La Frontier, a new anime about a VRMMORPG. Now, this genre in particular has gotten a bit saturated in recent years due to the success of Sword Art Online, Log Horizon, and even Ready Player One. However, the art style of the trailer piqued my interest, and the press release indicated SLF would have a bit more of a focus on world-building and game mechanics.

Sonic Frontiers was met with pretty positive reviews across the board when it launched last year, but for all of the new open-world gameplay that stole the show, its best feature was, undoubtedly, the fishing minigame. Every single game is elevated by letting you chill and fish for a bit, breaking up the action with something far more laid back. Better yet, it brought back Big the Cat, who helped you fish while calming Lofi music filled the air. Perfection.

As someone who fancies themselves a pirate in EVE Online, I was pretty stoked when I first heard about the changes and gameplay features coming to Havoc, the next expansion for the space-faring MMO. Pirate factions such as the Angel Cartel and Guristas are prominent NPC groups in New Eden, with ships from Angel Cartel making up some of my favorites in the MMO — the Machariel especially.

The Sims 4 Stuff Packs are making a triumphant return with the highly anticipated Home Chef Hustle pack. Stuff packs are the smallest add ons for the Sims 4, and it’s been a while since any new ones have been released. Before Home Chef Hustle, the last new stuff pack was Paranormal, which came out back in 2021. Needless to say, Simmers are excited to see the return of stuff packs.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human fans will have more content to enjoy from October all the way through December. Before the game was released in 2022, the development team over at Techland promised that Dying Light 2 Stay Human would receive plenty of support post-launch. It was said that this game would see five years’ worth of DLC and updates. Next week, Microsoft 11 is launching its next big update for Windows 11, which will feature Windows Copilot. According to Microsoft's blog post, this AI-powered digital assistant (first added to Insider preview builds in June) will «uniquely incorporate the context and intelligence of the web, your work data, and what you are doing at the moment on your PC.» You can activate Copilot via the taskbar or by hitting the Win+C shortcut, and give it text or voice prompts like you would BingAI or Google Bard chatbot.

We had expected to have heard at least something about Chainsaw Man season 2 by now. The first season exploded out of the blocks last year with a gleefully gory explosion of pain, passion, and people being shredded. Since then, there's been radio silence.
