NBA 2K24, Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Resident Evil 3 Coming to PS Plus Extra/Premium in March

As is the case every month, PlayStation Plus is changing its roster of games in April, giving players new titles that they can add to their libraries and keep for as long as they're subscribed. PlayStation Plus is divided into three tiers – Essential, Extra, and Premium. While there are some specific perks for the upper tiers, the main difference between them is the number of titles available for players to download or stream from PlayStation's extensive console history.

Shadows of the Damned, the unexpected collaboration between No More Heroes, Killer7 and Lollipop Chainsaw creator Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda and Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, will finally see a PC release with a new remake later this year - over a decade after it first hit consoles.

Sony has shared a list of 11 games that will be leaving the Premium and Extra tiers of PlayStation Plus in April 2024. The newly confirmed departures are expected to be removed from the PlayStation Plus library on April 16.

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Omega Force have announced One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 downloadable content characters Rayleigh and Garp, who will launch alongside Roger as part of the game’s “Legend Dawn Pack Pack” on March 28.

The developers of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 revealed that they struggled to get the Sandman boss fight right due to how fast Spider-Man is. During this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC), associate animation director for Insomniac Stephen Camardella revealed that it was incredibly hard to get the pacing of the fight against Sandman in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 just right. Camardella states that due to Spider-Man's speed, it was a challenge to make sure the fight was fair and fun.

Crow Country, an upcoming survival horror indie game inspired by PS1 greats like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, with just a touch of classic Final Fantasy in its aesthetic, launches May 9 for PS5 and PC.

Sony has announced the slate of games coming to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in March. Starting March 19, PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers will get access to popular basketball sim NBA 2K24, tactical RPG Marvel's Midnight Suns, survival horror title Resident Evil 3, and more. March Game Catalog offerings follow the month's lineup of free games — available to all PS Plus members — that Sony announced in late February.
