Courtesy of its focus on martial arts-inspired melee combat, Naraka: Bladepoint has carved out a niche for itself in the uber-competitive battle royale genre, and the multiplayer title has kept on growing in popularity.
NetEase has announced that since its PC launch over two years ago in August 2021, Naraka: Bladepoint has been played by over 40 million players. The company attributes this to the game’s active esports presence and its consistent content updates, which, in addition to new heroes and weapons, have also included crossover events and even a 3-player campaign, which arrived last year.
Earlier this year, Naraka: Bladepoint also transitioned to being a free-to-play game, which undoubtedly would have attracted a fair amount of players as well. Details on the content that’ll be added to the game over the course of 2024 will be shared at the next Naraka Fest showcase on December 19.
Naraka: Bladepoint is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
