As the Galactic War in continues to evolve, new challenges are constantly being introduced, giving players plenty of opportunity to experiment with new strategies. A recent Major Order has refocused the war effort on the Terminid front, tasking Helldivers with activating the newly operational Terminid Control System in unique missions similar to those in the failed Automaton defense campaign. Getting the Terminid Control System up and running brings its own difficulties to the game, however, and there are a couple underrated Stratagems that can really shine in these unique missions.
The "" missions require the Helldivers to interact with a terminal at the Central Tower, before activating three surrounding Battery Silos, and subsequently defending the Silos from encroaching bugs. The Silos taking too much damage resets their progress, and a key roadblock to completing the mission is the Silos' susceptibility to friendly fire, making a lot of the most effective Stratagems counterproductive. This provides the perfect opportunity for players to utilize two of the game's most underrated Stratagems: the EMS Mortar Sentry and the Tesla Tower.
Carefully thrown beacons can make the more conventional Stratagems still effective in the Terminid Control System missions, but anything that launches explosives or deals damage to a wide area is going to be actively detrimental to the objective when bugs are in the vicinity. Protecting the Silos requires some deft crowd control, and the EMS Mortar Sentry and Tesla Tower are perfectly equipped for the job. The key to both Stratagems' suitability is that they won't damage the Silos.
The EMS Mortar Sentry doesn't actually do any damage at all – its shells release an electromagnetic static field upon impact, stunning and immobilizing any enemies caught in the radius. On the other hand, the Tesla Tower is notorious for its indiscriminate damage output. Its electricity arcs toward any potential targets that wander within its effective range, including Helldivers, making it a tricky Stratagem to work around in many situations. The Tesla Tower having specific targets is what makes it perfect for the Terminid Control System missions, though – there is no possibility of it damaging the silos.
Players who need to get past or close to an active Tesla Tower can go prone, as it won't target Helldivers crawling across the ground. Tesla Towers can also be destroyed with only a few bullets.
Normally, the Tesla Tower's critical flaw (aside from it frequently zapping the life out of Helldivers) is its vulnerability to some of the more annoying Terminids, which can destroy the Stratagem with relative ease. Chargers, for instance, have too much health to be taken down by a Tesla Tower

Just as the Helldivers 2 community was trying to make sense of mysterious cloaked ships and get to grips with a balance-changing update that adds new planetary hazards, players found more additions to the game developer Arrowhead failed to announce up front in the patch notes.
players have once again been blessed as developer Arrowhead Studio rolls out a patch that includes one of the game's most requested features alongside some other special treats. Upon its launch, the community immediately began to question how long it would take the average user to reach the maximum player level given that Boosters and mission difficulty modes are locked behind personal progression. While the level cap used to be 50, developer Arrowhead Studios has listened to feedback and made this limit significantly larger.
In an era rife with microtransactions and games released in buggy conditions, titles like and are saving modern gaming as we know it. For years, publishers have come to rely on aggressive tactics to drain every penny possible from consumers post-launch. The commercial and critical success of ,, and other recent examples like prove that if a game is well-made and fun to play, buyers will support it. The cost of AAA game production is skyrocketing, and while that, too, is a problem plaguing the industry, predatory microtransactions are not the answer – quality is.
Helldivers 2 has dropped two brand-new Stratagems in the game, giving players a couple of new options to help gamers fight off the Terminid and Automaton hordes on the battlefield. While Helldivers 2 already features plenty of ways to take down enemies, every bit of support helps.
added its first new Terminid enemy to the game, but they are more dangerous when players least expect them. has introduced a welcome update trend of releasing new content consistently and often as the result of player actions. This has kept players on their toes for updates at any time, but also kept retention and support for the game. The game is set to recieve a new Warbond every month as well, so it would seem that available Helldiving equipment will continue to evolve alongside new enemies and mission types.
It's been a turbulent few days in the Helldivers 2 community. Arrowhead Game Studios (and the Ministry of Truth) has finally admitted that flying bugs are real, and the airborne critters are currently running wild in the game. We were also given a seriously tough Major Order from galactic game master Joel, which tasked us with liberating five planets in just three days.
boasts delightfully intricate gameplay systems, and people are still discovering not-so-hidden mechanics and features to exploit. Some features are relatively intuitive, found naturally by simply completing missions. In the chaos of Terminid and Automaton combat, however, Helldivers are hard-pressed simply to survive from one skirmish to another. In the pandemonium, many of the game’s unique mechanics hide in plain sight – in view but out of focus.
For players having trouble with the overbearing difficulty of 's hardest operations, the game's newest booster could offer an easy solution. As part of 's ongoing battle pass system, the recently added Cutting Edge Warbond has introduced several new weapons, armor pieces, and cosmetics to the game — and, while not every new piece of equipment has proven to be effective in every situation, the Warbond does hold some potent options for high-difficulty missions.
presents players with an abundance of different tools to eliminate the deadly armies of the Terminids and Automatons and Arrowhead Studios is giving fans some insight into how those Stratagems are created. One of the core components of the popular co-op shooter is the ability to call down equipment and support from the skies, most of which take the form of explosive air strikes or precision missile launches. They're undoubtedly one of the most fun aspects of and director Johan Pilestedt wants everyone to know how the team creates them.
With the recent changes, which have seen enemy spawn rates and weapon types changed to improve balancing, it would appear that developer Arrowhead has also sneakily added a new enemy type. This new Terminid has been spotted by players in recent missions but is nowhere to be found in any of the game's official patch notes.
Helldivers 2 has a brand new Major Order focusing on quarantining the Terminid threat, but players will need to rapidly liberate four players to clear the objective.
Players in face repugnant Teminids and lethal Automatons, but the most dangerous enemy of all may come from within. Feared more than either enemy faction is the enigmatic player known as the «Sample hoarder.» These players can wreak havoc upon their compatriots through selfish and unnecessary behavior, more so than teammates who spam cluster bombs and orbital barrages on their comrades.
