After spending the last few weeks roasting Megan Fox for her performance as Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1, fans are taking a dreaded look back at Ronda Rousey's infamous portrayal of Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11.
Ever since Mortal Kombat 1 launched a few weeks ago, one of the things that fans can't stop talking about and, more importantly, making fun of, is Megan Fox's voiceover work for Nitara. Despite seeming quite excited about the role in Nitara's reveal trailer, Fox's final performance in the game is wooden, unemotional, and frankly a little embarrassing for the actor, with some fans even calling her the "worst choice" to play the character.

As much debate as this whole Nitara situation has caused, it's far from the first time that it has happened in Mortal Kombat. In fact, one of the main points that many players have raised about Megan Fox's performance in Mortal Kombat 1 is that it's somehow worse than Ronda Rousey's infamous voiceover work for Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11.
Although most Mortal Kombat fans seem to agree that Megan Fox does a much worse job than Ronda Rousey, not all of them do, as was proven to be the case over on the Mortal Kombat subreddit a few days ago. In one of this week's most popular threads on the subreddit, Redditor TrappedInLimbo shared a few of Sonya Blade's intro dialogues from Mortal Kombat 11 with the caption, "For those of you pretending that Ronda's voice acting in MK11 was not just as bad as Megan's".
The clips show Sonya interacting with various characters, such as Scorpion, Shao Kahn, Baraka, and Kabal before she fights them, all while reminding us all that Rousey really wasn't the best pick for one of the game's main characters and one that has some important moments in the story mode. At least Nitara barely appeared in Mortal Kombat 1's campaign, right?
TrappedInLimbo's post quickly received a ton of upvotes, which seems to show that a lot of Mortal Kombat fans had simply forgotten how bad her performance was over the past few years, as the post shows fans calling her "tired", "stiff", and "monotone", albeit with some defending her lack of experience as an actor.
Then again, while some of the comments are roasting Rousey's performance, it still looks like most fans prefer her over Megan Fox, with one of the most popular comments reading, "Ronda wasn't good, but at least she changed the pitch and cadence of her voice a couple of times to try to indicate things like anger, resolve, familiarity, etc. Megan delivered every single line like she was auditioning to be a GPS navigator voice". It seems like, even when fans are roasting Ronda Rousey, they're still less impressed with Megan Fox.
Now, when

Spider-Man 2 has a lot of new suits, not just optional cosmetics, but story-driven outfits that our two webslingers change into as the narrative progresses. Peter Parker obviously gets the Symbiote, but Miles Morales also gets some new threads. Only, they aren't going down well with fans.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set in a new timeline written by Fire God Liu Kang, which means certain relationships and identities have changed. Kuai Liang is now Scorpion, Mileena and Kitana are sisters, and Tarkatan is a disease, not a people. That leaves the question of where the Kombat Kids fit in, but leakers may have found the answer in datamined DLC voice lines which were proven true by the Omni-Man trailer.
Mortal Kombat 1 had been teasing, and not teasing, various things that they would show at New York Comic Con. Ed Boon himself deconfirmed several things that wouldn’t be shown at the convention, and many felt this meant we wouldn’t get any look at the upcoming DLC characters for the game via its first Kombat Pack. However, NetherRealm Studios DID show something from the Kombat Pack at the show: the first look at Omni-Man! His inclusion in the game had long been rumored before it was officially confirmed alongside other key DLC characters, and his “first look” trailer shows just how brutal things will get.
