Mortal Kombat 1’s DLC Patch Notes Have Been Revealed

NetherRealm has given players an official first look at The Boys’ Homelander in action in Mortal Kombat 1.

Amazon has revealed the next batch of ‘free’ games set to be offered to Prime members.

The May 2024 PlayStation Plus monthly games have been confirmed, with Sony pulling together a trio of games for all PS Plus subscribers – Essentials, Extra and Premium. Headlining this month’s selection is EA Sports FC 24, though there’s four games to choose from this time around.

Microsoft has unveiled a slew of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future and subscribers can look forward to plenty of Day-One releases. One of the best parts about the console's subscription service is the ability to play new titles for no extra cost the moment they launch, meaning those who use the platform have access to a wealth of fresh titles that they don't need to pay an additional fee to access. Following the recent ID@Xbox showcase, the company confirmed that the next few months will be packed with some exciting Day-One drops.

Mortal Kombat 1’s next Kameo fighter is Mavado, the high-ranking commander of the ancient Red Dragon clan, and his release date has just been revealed. While Mortal Kombat 1’s main roster consists of revamped versions of classic characters in a brand-new timeline, the secondary Kameo fighter line-up contains the time-displaced original versions of combatants from across the old Mortal Kombat games. These older incarnations can be summoned to help the player during matches, adding new combos and strategies to Mortal Kombat 1’s gameplay.

Bandai Namco has revealed who will be the second DLC character in Tekken 8, along with news of free updates coming throughout the year.

Unicorn Overlord received the 1.04 update with bug fixes, performance enhancements, stability improvements, and new features. Unicorn Overlord puts players in charge of managing units in small armies, and the latest update makes it easier to select said units while improving the information displayed in a squad.

One player has found a moon that represents what players were hoping for when they bought the game. Prior to its launch, one of the main selling points for was its 1000 explorable planets, with a mix of hand-crafted and procedurally generated environments across them. Unfortunately, upon its release, players complained outside of the set Points of Interest on a planet — which usually indicated explorable locations such as bases, labs, or outposts — that many of these environments felt empty, and that they would often have to jump back to their ship to enter another point of interest, rather than staying on land, due to each landing zone only generating a set radius of a kilometer or two in which they can explore before getting a "" message.

NetherRealm’s latest DLC fighter for Mortal Kombat 1, Ermac, is now available in “early access.” Those who own the Kombat Pack can play him now, while others need to wait for his worldwide launch on April 23rd.

Riot Games has unveiled theLeague of Legends update 14.8 patch notes, introducing a plethora of changes and adjustments to champions and game modes, while also adding new skins. This update is particularly focused on preparing for MSI (Mid-Season Invitational), with a spotlight on pro-oriented changes to ensure a balanced and competitive environment for the upcoming tournament. However, casual League of Legends players will also find several tweaks and improvements tailored to enhance their gaming experience.

Remember Mortal Kombat 1’s fourth season of Invasions? Regardless, Season 5 or the Season of Storms, is live and features a more distinct antagonist. It’s Dark Raiden, a corrupted and decidedly more aggressive version of the Thunder God seeking to destroy threats to Earthrealm. Check out the trailer below.

Like previous entries in the series, Mortal Kombat 1 is rolling out plenty of DLC fighters, with the game’s first “Kombat Pack” including Omni-Man from Invincible, Quan Chi, Peacemaker from Suicide Squad, Ermac, Homelander from The Boys, and Takahashi Takeda.
