MLB The Show 24 has revealed that a Storylines mode will follow the career of Derek Jeter, in which players can replay some of the ballplayer's most iconic moments. The new reveal comes after a recent announcement that also drummed up some excitement for this year's MLB The Show.
Last week, MLB The Show 24 announced that it will feature the franchise's first female ballplayer, Toni Stone. She played two seasons of professional baseball in the Negro Leagues during the 1950s and will be a part of this year's larger Negro Leagues feature, which allows users to relive the careers of some of the league's most legendary players. Users will be able to complete themed missions and possibly earn Diamond Dynasty cards for players like Stone, Hank Aaron, Josh Gibson, and more. However, that's not the only exciting single-player content that San Diego Studio has planned for this year's title.
MLB The Show 24's Storylines: Derek Jeter mode will allow users to play through some of «The Captain's» most career-defining moments, including his first hit, his famous jump throw from the 1998 ALCS, his MVP performance during the 2000 All-Star Game, and more. Initially, players will only have access to moments from early in Jeter's career, specifically from 1995 to 2000. However, SDS confirmed that additional moments will be added in the future. By completing the missions, players will earn exclusive rewards, including player items, uniforms, equipment, and more. SDS did not confirm whether players will earn a Diamond Dynasty card for Jeter by completing the mode, but it seems likely. However, the card might not be available until a post-launch update adds additional missions.

Women’s history in sports isn’t as long as one might think. That’s mainly because in many countries, including the United States, women were only “allowed” to do certain sports for a certain period of time, and there were no pro leagues for them to participate in. Once Title IX came into play, which forced women’s sports to be considered and opened so that no discrimination could occur, things slowly started to open up. Fast forward to now, and women’s sports is one of the biggest things around, and MLB The Show 24 is ready to show that off with a new mode dedicated to the women of baseball.
