Martin Scorsese's life story is being transformed into a graphic novel

Very, very few games have managed to nail the gist and feel of Half-Life so compellingly as ADACA has. The really interesting bit, though, is that this little-known low-poly first-person shooter – arguably Half-Life’s best copycat – has just received its Episode Three, believe it or not.

Another game development studio has joined an increasing list of companies that have been hit with layoffs in 2024. Deck Nine Games, developer of Life is Strange: True Colors, has announced that it’s laying off 20 percent of its total workforce. An IGN report states the studio employed 100-130 employes, which means over 20 people are set to face job cuts.

If you haven’t played Black Mesa, the unofficial (yet wholly endorsed by Valve) remake of Half-Life, it’s definitely worth checking out. For those of us who have played – and enjoyed – it, the team responsible for it is teasing a new game that’s currently in the pipeline.

When Elden Ring was first announced, the collaboration between director Hidetaka Miyazaki and author George R.R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame got many curious. Martin’s contribution focused on the overall setting and backstory, with the current events handled by FromSoftware’s narrative team.

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is releasing on March 13, 2024, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows,on Steam and GOG.

FromSoftware has commented on George R. R. Martin's involvement in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, confirming that the upcoming DLC will once again feature lore that the famous author has penned for the studio. However, the Japanese developer did not actually bring back George R. R. Martin to specifically work on the upcoming Elden Ring expansion.
