The final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is coming this holiday.

As part of the September Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo revealed the final DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, showcasing the characters and one course coming to the racing game.
Wave 6 includes the Daisy Circuit course from Mario Kart Wii, as well as four new additional characters. These include Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Pauline, and Peachette. Each DLC wave has included eight courses, so we'd expect seven more courses to be announced in the future.

The Wave 6 DLC launches this holiday and wraps up the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe post-launch campaign. In total, Nintendo will have added 48 DLC courses in the Booster Course Pass. Players can get all the courses and characters with a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Alternatively, players can purchase all DLC waves for $25.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling Switch game, moving more than 55.5 million units, though this figure also includes copies of the game included in hardware bundles. Mario Kart 9 is now rumored to be in development, and it might feature a «new twist.»
