First it was a working catapult, and now a LEGO Fortnite player creates a working Starship Rocket? The creativity is getting out of hand, but in a good way.
It’s not just any rocket ship, but a replica of the Starship Rocket from SpaceX. It not only goes into the air, but includes stage separation as well.
The user “YaBoiSpunky” on Reddit in the LEGO Fortnite subreddit recently showed off the Starship Rocket they created. Including a video showcasing the working rocket ship, it displays how the hot staging and stag separation actually happens.
They’re sitting on the rocket as it starts rising into the sky above, leaving its own little launch pad. One of their friends is recording the clip from a distance, although I initially thought it was the other way around. You then soon notice the stage separation happen, just like it would in real life. How does anyone even make this stuff?

People in the replies were wondering the same thing. One reply asked how they made the engines keep restarting without a switch. The user said in response that they actually kept flicking an Activation Switch while on the rocket whenever the engines went out.
Another reply said that they hope Epic Games raises the maximum height of the game. Perhaps more players could then actually reach heights closer to space! Otherwise, the fact that someone was even able to pull this off is phenomenal. Every week I seem to see something even grander get built by someone with endless creativity.
What’s next, an airplane? Well, someone did end up creating a flying machine that works, I even made one myself to make sure. Read our guide on how to create one for yourself!
