Last year's multiplayer Evil Dead game won't get new content, Switch version canned

It’s interesting how much information is coming out about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in recent weeks, given that the title won’t launch until early next year. It’s possible that Square Enix doesn’t want you to forget about the game and thus build up the hype for many months until it’s at a “fever pitch.” Or they just think that right now is the best time to do the reveals! Either way works in the minds of gamers. The good news is that today was one of those “reveal days” because plenty of information was dropped about the title.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to add several DLC characters in the coming weeks and months, with developer NetherRealm Studios having confirmed that the post-launch Kombat Pack will add six new fighters, one of whom will be Invincible’s Omni-Man. However, if you were hoping to see gameplay footage for the DLC fighter in the near future, well, you might be disappointed.

Developer Neowiz has released a new trailer for its recently-released action RPG Lies of P. The trailer shows off the game’s generally positive critical reception, while also giving those that may not have played the game yet a look at the game’s visuals and combat. Check it out below.

There was a real surprise when Rockstar Games unveiled they were bringing Red Dead Redemption back. However, some fans were surprised that this port would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. While the port was relatively well received, it was thought that you would have to continue this franchise with a game on a competitor platform. Red Dead Redemption 2 is readily available to pick up right now on PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One platforms. However, a new rating revealed that a port might be coming to the Nintendo Switch platform. 

Netmarble’s Tower of God: New World, the stylish collectible card game based on the enormously popular South Korean webtoon, is currently hosting a number of events to mark the arrival of its latest massive content update. 

Much like the video game adaptations of Friday the 13th and Predator: Hunting Grounds before it, Evil Dead: The Game attempted to latch onto the growing trend of asymmetrical multiplayer horror games, with one player controlling a powerful monster while the remaining players try to avoid it or take it down.

The Pokemon Company had its first big release of 2023 via the launch of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, known as “The Teal Mask.” The content is the first part of the “Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero” content that will continue via the second part, called “The Indigo Disk.” The first part of the DLC took players to a new land full of Pokemon and mysteries. However, despite the content’s seemingly successful launch, the title is already going to get an update to fix issues. This was revealed by the game’s Japanese Twitter account, and they highlighted some of the things that would be fixed.

There will be no Nintendo Switch version of Evil Dead: The Game and development of new content for the game on other platforms has ended, Saber Interactive announced.

Evil Dead: The Game will no longer receive additional content updates, and the Switch version will no longer release, publisher Saber Interactive and developer Boss Team Games announced. Servers will remain live for the foreseeable future.
