Larian blames localization studio for missing Baldur's Gate 3 credits, says they'll be added in the next hotfix

Baldur’s Gate 3 players believe they have worked out Withers’ true identity based on clues inside and outside the game. Withers’ real identity doesn’t have major consequences on the player’s story and is more of a deep dive into Dungeons & Dragons lore, as it relates to the history of the evil gods that have had a major role throughout the Baldur’s Gate series.

Throughout Baldur's Gate 3, you will spend time with a strange skeleton at camp. He's called Withers, and not much is known about him other than the fact he can respec your class and summon the dead to fight for you. But given his scene at the end of the game and the tomb you find him in, there's clearly more to Withers than meets the eye.

The city’s newspaper likes to embellish some details, especially if a story is particularly good. During the final act of Baldur’s Gate 3, there’s a character named Estra Stir who you can speak with, and it turns out she’s a journalist for the Baldur’s Mouth.

Now that Baldur's Gate 3 has been out for a little while, most of us will be familiar with The Dark Urge. This super chaotic race introduced with the game's full release is intended to be chosen by those who want a little bit more spice in their playthrough, as unique choices are presented exclusively to the Dark Urge which usually lean towards the evil side of the moral spectrum.

Larian has said it’s changing how it deploys Baldur’s Gate 3 patches following issues with the release of the game’s latest hotfix.

Larian Studios has released its third major hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3, addressing over 200 bugs. Along with the Blue Behir Dice being available for all players permanently, Scratch’s ability to search for digging spots has improved. He’ll do so automatically and won’t require constant direction.

A studio that handled Baldur’s Gate III translations has apologized after outsourced workers were omitted from the game’s credits. "We take full responsibility for this omission of our freelancers' names and apologize for the effects that it had," Altagram Group founder and CEO Marie Amigues said in a statement. "We would like to thank Larian for allowing us to quickly fix that error and update the credits section. The names of the Brazilian Portuguese translators will be included in an upcoming patch to the game."
