Dark Souls can be pretty rough if you're new to the series, forcing you to slam your head against bosses that are essentially brick walls with way too many legs. If you know what you're doing, things are much easier, and you'll struggle to find anyone who knows more about Dark Souls than Twitch streamer Regole, who recently earned himself a new world record by beating not only the first game, but both of its sequels, back to back in under 90 minutes.

One thing I’ve always appreciated about gaming is the iterative nature of the industry. When one game cracks a good idea, it tends to trickle down to others in creative ways. There’s a sense that developers are always in conversation with one another, riffing off of each other’s ideas in search of something that feels truly fresh.

A new fan mod for Dark Souls 3 has been released offering a complete overhaul of the game that promises «a retelling of the Dark Souls universe».

On the near first anniversary of first-person dungeon adventure Dark and Darker's removal from Steam, developer Ironmace has announced its launch on the Epic Games Store. 

After almost four years in development, Dark Souls 3 mod Archthrones is set to release a demo on March 15th. If you were unaware of said mod, it's a Patron-funded expansion that puts Dark Souls 3 on an alternate storyline in a way akin to Demon Souls, with a hub area home to five gateways that'll transport you to five worlds. If there was ever a reason to return to Dark Souls 3, this is probably it.

Cyberpunk 2077 completed a remarkable turnaround last year with the launch of Phantom Liberty and the free Update 2.0, but CD Projekt RED has continued to release patches for the game since then. From smaller updates to larger ones that bring new gameplay features, the studio has continued working on the action RPG, even though the focus of the team has now very much shifted to its sequel, Project Orion.

Part of the magic of cinema is how, in spite of only engaging two of our senses, it can evoke all of them. Food makes this abundantly clear: Cinematic stories about cooking and eating can bring about sensory bliss, bringing us home with a few shots and sounds of a beloved dish, or somewhere entirely new with the same.

If you've been craving more Dark Souls content in your life, then prepare yourself. A colossal Dark Souls 3 mod called Dark Souls: Archthrones is on the way, and you'd be forgiven for thinking that it was an entirely new FromSoftware RPG.

Dragon's Dogma 2's enormous open world might be several times larger than its predecessor's, but according to its director and producer, we shouldn't feel the need to skip through it as fast as possible.

Nintendo is adding a trio of Mario spinoff games to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service to celebrate Mario Day, adding two sports games and a puzzle game. 2024's celebration of the iconic Nintendo mascot brought plenty of news about the future of the franchise, with multiple major announcements during the livestream. Catching the Here and There Fish in will require a little questing before you can do so. The fish are part of the1.4 update, which brought Nala and Simba to the game, and finding the fish will allow you to finish Nala’s friendship quest. It will also unlock the ability to find the fish at any time.
