Apple finally updated its App Store guidelines to allow global developers to host retro game emulators on iOS. Now, you don’t need to jailbreak your iPhone or download any sketchy software — you can get a sophisticated emulator right in the palm of your hand for free on the App Store.
No one is more vindicated by this shift in Apple’s policy than Riley Testut, the developer who made GBA4iOS about a decade ago when he was in high school (when he released GBA4iOS, I showed half of my AP Statistics class how to play Pokémon on their phones during class — sorry, Mr. Cinelli). But back then, you had to sideload the app through a loophole, and eventually, Apple caught on and ruined our fun. By fall 2014, GBA4iOS was dead. RIP.

Capcom has announced that it will be delisting Dark Void, Dark Void Zero, and Flock! from Steam on May 8th. It has not yet confirmed if this delisting will also occur on the Xbox store but it does seem likely. If it does then Dark Void and Flock! will be impacted on that platform, as Dark Void Zero was not released on Xbox platforms. Dark Void was already delisted from the PlayStation store, but Flock! is still available.
isn't content to just be an average, everyday city-builder, and the game's commitment to doing something unique goes beyond its central concept. The obvious thing that makes different from other games in the genre is its blend of tactical battles into the mix, which gives it an extra dose of appeal. This isn't the only feature that's hard to find elsewhere, however, and another fairly unique addition also contributes to making its medieval settlements feel more like real places with real people.
While Xbox Game Pass subscribers are no doubt trying to play some of the bigger releases of April, those wanting to experience an exceptional roguelike that didn't receive the hype that he deserved should keep their eyes peeled for the end of the month. With major Day-One launches like the JRPG and the sleeper early-access hit , April has proven to be an especially successful month for Microsoft as its catalog of offered games grew with some excellent titles. To cap off such a big month, an excellent indie gem is exactly what users need.
It’s still unclear whether cloud gaming will ever become the next big thing. The appeal is clear: The game you’re playing runs in a data center near you, and the video output is directly streamed to your local device. When you interact with the game, everything is relayed back to the data center.
