There was a time when I’d write about games. Now I write about how industry executives keep stepping on rakes.

It turns out the attempts to eliminate the bug threat through the use of Terminid Control Systems were entirely fruitless in . Now, it’s up to the Helldivers to deactivate these terminals across several major planets. To prevent the spread of the Terminid and to earn plenty of medals along the way, it’s essential for Helldivers to know how to deactivate the Terminid Control Systems.
Part of the last major order was to establish Terminid Control Systems meant to constrain the bug population across multiple barrier planets in. Mission command may have worked against Super Earth’s best interest, as these controls have only led to further growth in the Terminid population. Now, it’s time to return to these planets to retroactively fix our previous mistakes to stop the spread of Terminids. Like many other objectives on bug-infested planets, the way to complete this task is fairly straightforward.
There are three total steps to complete the new Terminid Control Systems missions in. Helldivers mustdestroy at least 17 mutated Terminid Eggs, manually deactivate corrupted battery silos, and then extract. Infested control system areas will have large Terminid eggs covering nearby walls. Like any normal egg elimination mission, use your primary weapons or your best explosive stratagems to destroy these mutated eggs. Be aware, there will be plenty of Terminids guarding these sections of the map.
These tasks can be completed simultaneously. If you want to save time for extra medals, then it might be best to split your squad into duos to complete these two objectives simultaneously.
Alongside destroying mutated eggs, you must also find corrupted battery silos on the map to deactivate. The silos themselves appear to be massive, bug-infested pillars. Players can deactivate these silos by pressing a blue button and inputting the necessary code. These affected areas will appear on your map, and you only need to deactivate three total silos. Once both tasks are complete, Helldivers are free to either extract or take on any side missions in the area.
It doesn’t seem like too long ago that we visited several planets to install the Terminid Control Systems, but now it’s time to deconstruct these hulking pillars. At this time, Fenrir III, Turing, Erata Prime, and Meridia are the four most common planets where you will find this mission available, with a variety of 's Terminid enemies awaiting you. It is entirely possible that if the Helldivers fail to stop this threat, we could find mutated eggs across far more planets than across the galaxy.
Currently, deactivating Terminid Control Systems is at the heart of the latest major order associated with Arrowhead’s recent patch. Once Fenrir III, Erata Prime, and Turing are

In , all players participate in the galactic war between humanity, the Automatons, and the Terminids. While capturing planets held by the opposing factions is essential to protecting Super Earth, Helldivers are regularly called to defend planets that have already been liberated. Liberty is never safe in, and to preserve democracy, it’s important to know how to defend planets under Super Earth's control.
Sony has officially backed down from forcing all players on Steam to link their account to PlayStation Network after a weekend of boycotts, negative reviews, and mass refunds. Announced shortly before the launch of the game's next season, the switch from an optional to a mandatory PSN account managed to provoke the community after it was discovered that 121 countries around the world would be blocked from playing the game due to the service not being available. Fortunately, Arrowhead Studios and PlayStation have come to a solution that's satisfied the player base.
has made waves as a live-service game that offers the complete package of fun gameplay, an engaging community, and interesting updates, but one move could undo a huge portion of what it's built over the past few months. As a sequel to the modestly popular top-down shooter, the third-person follow-up has managed to go toe-to-toe with major IPs and stands out as one of the biggest successes of 2024. Not everyone has been able to get in on the fun – isn't available on Xbox – but that hasn't slowed its momentum much.
A recent update makes dangerous changes to its most feared enemies. Stalkers, members of the Terminid faction, are some of the most dangerous bugs in . Their unique ability allows them to disguise themselves, allowing them to get the jump on players. Stalkers will often appear out of the blue when they're least expected, and if the players don't respond quickly, can wipe out an entire party in a manner of seconds. They're especially difficult to see through thick fog and fire tornadoes, making them even more of a threat during inclement weather.
is making a massive change to its PC version and the community couldn't be more annoyed. Ever since the popular third-person shooter launched on PlayStation 5 and Steam, the game has boasted an enormous player base that's only grown larger as developer Arrowhead Studios has continued to support the game with extensive content patches. Unfortunately, many of those users who have participated in Super Earth's galactic war are disgruntled because of a new requirement that may make it significantly harder to enjoy the game.
Arrowhead has announced a new premium Warbond for , called "", which will bring new weapons, armor, and more to the game. These Warbonds are often how a large chunk of the game's content is delivered to players, with and launching alongside the game, with and coming in the months that followed.
The Xbox Games Showcase is Microsoft's premier annual vehicle for the announcement of new first-party games, and according to Xbox Wire, it'll be streaming live on June 9th, 2024. As such, it often includes many of the year's biggest reveals, and this year is expected to be no different. The Xbox Games Showcase will probably include a lot of surprises, be they first looks at entirely new titles or updates on DLC.
The next Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled to air this summer and it looks like it could also feature a Call of Duty Direct, too.
For all long as the Fallout franchise has been around, it has never been set outside of the United States. Of course, its over-the-top, retro-futuristic Americana satirization is a core aspect of what makes Fallout, Fallout, but on new few occasions, large chunks of the series’ fanbase have wondered how locations outside of the US are faring in Fallout’s post-apocalyptic setting, and whether they could fare as suitable settings for a future Fallout game.
With the Fallout TV series topping 65 million viewers to become one of the most watched Prime Video shows ever, the pressure is on for more content set in the wasteland, and Bethesda is seemingly ready to oblige.
players who enjoy firing massive lasers at their enemies are out of luck because the latest balance update just introduced some major nerfs while also making some interesting tweaks to certain missions. Arrowhead Studios has demonstrated its passion for live-service support by issuing dozens of patches that accomplish small goals like fixing bugs and glitches to introducing larger changes like the addition of new enemies and weapons. While the community wasn't too pleased with the previous balance update, the most recent attempt to level the playing feel is seemingly going down much smoother.
