miHoYo’s next big update forHonkai: Star Rail has yet to be shared, but it’s already looking to the future. In a new Myriad Celestia trailer, we see Kafka, one of the Stellaron Hunters in Jepella Palace, tried for her crimes. The presiding judges run through various locations, from Planet Screwllum and the Attouine Universal Auction to the Cyber Prison of Inupeis.
In many of these locations, the Stellaron Hunters’ actions were catastrophic (like unleashing data demons on Inupeis). However, Kafka adds one more charge – the Jepella Rebellion, which begins at that moment. It’s revealed that the judges were under her spell, and their regime slowly collapses.
The end sees another Stellaron Hunter, long believed to be Sam, telling Kafka to stop playing with her food. She promises to next time, but it’s too late now. As suggested through various in-game dialogues, Sam appears to be a robot and one who seeks life (as opposed to Blade, who seeks death).
There’s no word on when he’ll join the roster, but we could see some of these locations in the future. Honkai: Star Rail is available for PC, iOS and Android, with a PS5 version due later this year. Check out our review here.

Honkai Star Rail is one of the most popular gacha games out there currently, with a growing roster of characters that you can recruit for your teams. One standout feature of Honkai Star Rail (and its sister gacha game, Genshin Impact) is its pity system, which allows you to guarantee a 5-star character after a certain number of pulls. With careful planning, you can ensure you earn the 5-star character of your dreams. Fortunately, HoYoverse has provided a method that allows you to calculate what your current pity is. Here’s how to check your pity in Honkai Star Rail.
Honkai Star Rail released its latest major content update on August 29, introducing the newest playable character Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, while also introducing a number of quality-of-life updates, such as an increased Trailblaze Power cap and changes to the Simulated Universe. However, players have noticed a lack of new concrete features in this new update, and have taken to social media to criticize the latest update and its lack of content.
A new Honkai: Star Rail update is out now, adding new story and characters via the 1.3 patch.
Sometimes, Honkai: Star Rail will release redemption codes outside of the version update livestreams. With the start of Version 1.3 and the start of Imbibitor Lunae’s banner, HoYoverse released a celebratory redemption code for players to claim.
HoYoverse, the developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, shared an update on its next game Zenless Zone Zero during Gamescom Opening Night Live – but there was no date or confirmation of consoles. The self-described urban action RPG showed off a bunch of characters and environmental art, including several arcade-style minigames you’ll presumably be able to play to pass the time.
Update: As previously announced, HoYoverse has opened sign ups for a technical test featuring the PS5 version of Honkai: Star Rail. It sounds like if you've already started on PC or mobile, cross-save will be supported, as long as your HoYoverse account is linked to your PSN. You'll also be able to continue your progress, on either PC or mobile, once the technical test ends. You can sign up by filling in the form through here.

In case you missed it, Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha RPG from the team behind Genshin Impact that dropped earlier this year. It's a turn-based combat affair, set in a technically advanced world populated by beings called Aeons.
