The classic method of Bethesda bucket burglary doesn't work in Starfield, as confirmed by our own Morgan Park, who placed not only buckets but also bins and boxes on the heads of various NPCs. All of them were still able to see him commit theft, though none of them cared he was plonking objects over their faces. That doesn't mean you can't commit ingenious criminal acts by manipulating objects, however.

Fate/Samurai Remnant is the latest action RPG developed by Omega Force, and it's the latest title in the Warriors series the company is known for. Type-Moon played a supervisory role in the creation of the game, while Koei Tecmo handled development. While I was surprised to hear that the two companies would be working together, it became crystal clear to me once I actually got my hands on the game that it really is the latest Fate title, showing plenty of the interactions and bonds depicted through free-for-all battles that make the series so appealing.

It’s awfully hard to keep track of where all the action is happening on fantasy TV shows, and Prime Video’s Wheel of Time is no exception. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, with characters running from one city to the next and the story jumping between them; it’s just easy to get lost. Thankfully, Wheel of Timelines has an interactive map that can help guide you through the world of The Westlands.

The Armored Core franchise just received a new installment this year. This game was a huge surprise for fans of the series as well. During last year’s The Game Awards, FromSoftware surprised fans with the return to this IP after ten years of being dormant. But now that the latest game installment is out, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, you might be surprised that some feel FromSoftware lied about the gameplay experience. Is this game proving to be too much like their Souls gameplay experience than what the original Armored Core franchise offered?

Ara: History Untold is gearing up to be one of the biggest strategy games to date, as it features everything we love about games like Civilization and Cities Skylines without some of the other games’ less desirable qualities. In an exclusive Gamescom interview with Oxide Games’ design director, Michelle Menard, who worked on Civilization previously, we heard about the upcoming turn-based game and what sets Ara: History Untold apart from other familiar strategy experiences like Civilization.

Diablo 4 had a riotously successful launch in June, earning over $666 million in revenue in its first five days to become the biggest opening for a Blizzard Entertainment title in history, and not long afterward, it was confirmed that the game had quickly amassed over 10 million players. Of course, there’s certainly been some controversy and backlash against the action RPG since then, but it seems it’s continuing to attract players at a healthy rate.

While Diablo 4 is still in the throes of its first season, Season of the Malignant, Season 2 is already close at hand. Coming October 17th, Season of Blood brings a new companion, the Vampire Hunter Erys.

Erenshor is an upcoming MMO inspired by the classics of the late '90s and early 2000s - specifically Runescape if you're judging by the art style - but there's a massive differentiator: it's single-player and thus isn't actually an MMO at all. In place of real human players, Erenshor instead has "persistent simulated players" that will "get to know you," invite you to raids, and journey right alongside you just like the real thing.

Regarding the Pokemon franchise, they’re in a unique position compared to various other game franchises. Why? Their games are predicated on each new mainline entry revealing a new “generation” of Pokemon. It’s not as simple as creating a “new species” for trainers to battle and then moving on. They must create a legion of new pocket monsters to catch, train, battle, breed, etc. When Gen 1 came out nearly 30 years ago, it set the world on fire, and with Gen 9, The Pokemon Company proved it could still make hit titles with their beloved creatures. But how long can they keep it up?
