Helldivers 2 developers have shadow-dropped an interesting feature for the Quasar Cannon as part of their recent update. The Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.200 was released on April 2nd and it made some significant changes to meta, alongside adding some new planetary hazards.
The past few weeks have been quite eventful for Helldivers 2 fans, with the game shattering several records while succumbing to server issues at the same time. While the developers eventually managed to eradicate a lot of those problems with a series of player cap increases and other updates in Helldivers 2, the community is still eagerly looking forward to what else Arrowhead Game Studios has in store for them. Although the recently released update did rile up the community with its Slugger nerfs, there is a really handy feature that has been added to Helldivers 2 which wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.
As spotted by YouTuber StandardAce, Helldivers 2's Quasar Cannon now gives players a much better idea of when it is about to fire. While the backside of the weapon used to be empty previously, there is a new charge meter that has been included. This allows players to check when the weapon is fully charged up and will be shooting its deadly laser beam. Initially, many players thought it was just to give fans an estimate about when the weapon is about to fire, but it actually serves a much larger purpose.
One of the best utilities of this newly added charge meter is switching targets. Previously, if players were in the middle of charging their shot and wanted to switch to a different target, they had to rely solely on their muscle memory. It roughly takes around 3 seconds to charge the shot, so players don't really get a lot of leeway, and getting the timing right required a lot of practice. The Quasar Cannon has been immensely popular lately, proving to be quite useful in a plethora of situations such as destroying Automaton fabricators in Helldivers 2. With this new mechanic, it is much easier for gamers to switch targets without ending up misfiring their precious shot. Another cool detail that was added as part of the update is that when players type in chat, the Helldiver now also types on their arm. While it doesn't add tremendous value, it is still a pretty cool detail to have.
Fans seem to be loving the change so far, with many appreciating the developer's dedication to consistently adding new stuff to Helldivers 2. While the community does have a long wishlist, such as the addition of supply lines in Helldivers 2, the fact that such a small team has been so actively responding to community feedback is quite commendable. With a new Warbond on the radar, it shouldn't be long before players witness another exciting update

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered compilation has reportedly made a change to the game that was not mentioned in the recent update's patch notes, riling up fans about previous promises. The remakes have seen praise for their graphical enhancements to the classic adventure games, as well as several quality-of-life upgrades. Now, however, an unmentioned part of the most recent update is making a controversial change.
It's starting to feel like ConcernedApe (aka Eric Barone) may in fact be a modern day Sisiphus, destined to work on Stardew Valley forever. Following on from the mega update of 1.6 a month ago, and 1.6.3 soon after that, the hardy perennial farming game has a new 1.6.4 mini update. The key addition this time is more new layouts that will appear after you reach the bottom of the mines, and more layouts for the volcano mines too. If you've not played Stardew Valley you might wonder why there are deep mines and volcanos, and to you I say "Pah! You should play Stardew Valley."

Fans have been asking for the addition of melee weapons ever since Helldivers 2 was released, and it seems like the developers aren't ruling out the idea completely.
