Arrowhead Game Studios has released a new update for co-op shooter Helldivers 2. The update focuses on quite a few things, including weapon and enemy balancing, fixes to crashes, fixes to the Social menu, fixes to damage over time effects, fixes for misaligned scopes, and other improvements. Check out the complete patch notes below.
When it comes to balance changes, the explosive weapon R36-Eruptor is getting its explosive damage raised by 40. The weapon’s shrapnel is also being removed in order to avoid players accidentally one-shotting themselves. The Shrieker and Gunship enemies also got some minor buffs, with the Shrieker’s sight and hearing getting slightly increased range, and the Gunship’s hearing getting slightly more range.
Helldivers 2 has been in the midst of quite a controversy in more recent times with the game’s inclusion of mandatory PSN account linking. The game has faced quite a bit of backlash as a result, and user ratings everywhere have gone down as a result of players protesting the account linking.
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PS5. Check out the full patch notes for the update below.
