Helldivers 2 Releases Patch Addressing Freezing Issues

Helldivers 2’s enduring popularity has been surprising to see, with Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony’s co-op shooter continuing to attract players in droves through its excellent live service support even this far from release. In fact, as revealed by Sony’s recently released charts, it was once again the most downloaded PS5 game in both Europe and North America for the month of March, just as was in its launch month of February. 

Confirmation from the official Discord for Helldivers 2 reveals that the game almost had underground maps, but the implementation proved to be far too difficult to pull off. The combat in Helldivers 2 can be incredibly challenging at times, and the underground maps would have truly brought a harrowing experience.

CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, Johan Pilestedt, has confirmed that the much-requested transmog customization feature will not be coming to Helldivers 2 anytime soon. As Helldivers 2 is all about dishing out freedom to the galaxy, it's ironic that players are missing a level of freedom of their own, with customization being so limited.

Helldivers 2 players have begun expressing their frustration over bugs affecting their game experience, with one particular damage issue taking center stage. Their discontent is growing more vocal as the persistent issue is undermining the effectiveness of new Helldivers 2 weapons and content added by updates.

Marksman Rifles in Helldivers 2 could be getting a major buff soon, according to a recent poll conducted by a member of Arrowhead Game Studios. The Helldivers 2 online community appears to agree that Marksman Rifles are one of the most underperforming weapon categories in the game so far.

Between wiping out the Automatons and finding out they’ve returned,Helldivers 2 players have had their hands full recently. Fortunately, some new weapons are available to help even the odds courtesy of the Democratic Detonation Warbond. It adds three new primary weapons: the BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle, CB-9 Exploding Crossbow and R-36 Eruptor Rifle.

Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.202, ushering in a wave of improvements and fixes aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience for players. This update, focusing on stability, gameplay adjustments, and crash fixes, aims to address critical issues reported by the Helldivers 2community.

Upon its launch in February, Helldivers 2 got off to a better start than almost anyone could have expected, attracting players on both PS5 and PC in droves and selling at a faster pace than even Sony would have anticipated. Two months on from its release, the co-op shooter is continuing to maintain momentum in impressive fashion.

Helldivers 2 no longer cleans up the blood on armor after missions, and players are enjoying this change not mentioned in the patch notes. For the unaware, the recent Helldivers 2 update has shadow-dropped some new content, including a charger meter feature for the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon. As it turned out, this update has quietly added two new enemies that belong to the Automaton faction, Gunships and Factory Striders.

Two months after the launch of Helldivers 2, one of its enemy factions, the Automatons, has been wiped out. Arrowhead Game Studios issued a new Major Order, “Swift Disassembly” two weeks ago to destroy the entire faction, and players have seemingly succeeded. This is despite the Automatons deploying new walker-like Factory Striders and gunships.

One Helldivers 2 player shares a trick to defeat Bile Titans, one of the toughest Terminid enemies, with ease. Since the game's initial launch, Helldivers 2 players have found clever tricks to turn the tides in their favor. For instance, one has found that they can actually put an HMG Emplacement on a Shredder Tank to turn it against other Automaton enemies. Another player also discovered a way to blow up Automaton fabricators using the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon.

A Helldivers 2 player has shown an awesome method that others can use on certain maps to bring down larger enemies. Although Helldivers 2 gives players plenty of ways to defeat the Terminids and Automatons, this technique is done without firing a single shot.
