When it comes to missions in Helldivers 2, the combat can be incredibly challenging, and a player's weapons loadout plays a major role in whether a mission will be a success or not. Whether facing Terminids or Automatons, both factions have their fair share of difficult enemy types that can get a player's adrenaline pumping. However, not all weapons are created equal in Helldivers 2, and some players have clear favorites. When it comes to the Flamethrower, previous criticisms from players claimed the weapon didn't feel like it did enough damage, but thanks to Patch 01.000.100, many players are giving the Flamethrower more favorable feedback.
The Flamethrower appears to be far more powerful now compared to what it used to be before Patch 01.000.100. With there being some complaints from players about Helldivers 2 nerfing weapons in the update that were deemed some of the most popular choices for players, the buff done to the Flamethrower at least looks to be a big upgrade.

Despite some players' disappointment with the nerfing of the Railgun and Breaker, seeing the Flamethrower finally reaching its potential is an exciting upgrade that will likely make the weapon a favorite among some players. As the overall goal of the patch was to make the game more balanced, it will be interesting to see how players begin to utilize the Flamethrower, since it's far stronger. The recent patch to Helldivers 2 has added a lot of fun and exciting additions to the game, and although the power of some popular weapons has been downgraded, there may now be room for the Flamethrower to become a go-to weapon.
