Grand Theft Auto trilogy reaches 18m downloads on mobile

Grand Theft Auto fans waited years for an official reveal of the next game. After an unfortunate leak for Rockstar Games, fans were given a small look into Grand Theft Auto VI. However, it wasn’t until December last year that Rockstar Games offered their first trailer announcing the game and highlighting the protagonist. Today, a discovery has fans hopeful a second trailer is coming sooner rather than later.

Following the company’s fiscal year 2024/2025 earnings report, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick provided some updates on Grand Theft Auto 6. Currently planned to launch next year, he clarified that it’s unlikely to arrive before April 2025. Considering the massive buzz for the title, with over 174 million views to date, how did Zelnick feel about the trailer leaking beforehand?

Upon its long-awaited announcement in December, Grand Theft Auto 6 was handed a 2025 launch window, and in its recent quarterly fiscal report, Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive reiterated that window, but when exactly in 2025 will the game be releasing? Judging by Take-Two’s revised bookings forecast for fiscal year 2024/25, the game might not release until at least April 2025.

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has recently commented on the GTA 6 trailer leak, revealing that it was a disappointing event, but it did not hurt the development team.
