A Mortal Kombat 1 Steam achievement can be seen popping up during a new gameplay trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of the NetherRealm fighting game. During a section featuring Sub-Zero, one of the stars of the Mortal Kombat 1 tier list, a Steam achievement is clearly visible, despite the trailer coming from one of Nintendo’s own official YouTube channels. It follows comparisons between the Mortal Kombat 1 PC version and the Switch edition, with players saying that MK1 looks significantly different on the Nintendo console.

Cygames hosted a special Japanese livestream for its upcoming Granblue Fantasy games earlier today, showcasing gameplay from both Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (out in November) and Granblue Fantasy: Relink (out in February). The broadcast, which lasted over an hour (and can be watched with English subtitles), starts off with Versus, detailing the fighter's new characters, certain gameplay mechanics, and the title's wonderfully daft Fall Guys-esque platforming minigame, which can be played online.

Some trailers just blow you away, and that's exactly what we got from this latest look at Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Utterly packed with nostalgia, this trailer's got the lot: our first glimpse of additional party members Cait Sith and Vincent, remade minigames plucked straight from the original, and, yes, a playable Sephiroth.

Cygames recently hosted part 1 of itsGranblue Showcase, providing new details on Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. You can check out the action RPG from 44:16 onwards, with the developer revealing Ghandagoza as a playable character. As a brawler, he utilizes the Eternal Rage Style, executing combos to increase the attack of Raging Fist.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will feature a “Figure Mode” in which players can place and edit characters and set pieces to create original dioramas, publisher Cygames and developer Cygames Osaka announced during today’s “Granblue Fantasy Showcase: Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Relink Part 1.” Nine minutes of “Grand Bruise Legends” gameplay was also showcased.

Upcoming third-person tactical shooter Helldivers 2, where you friendly fire your buddies and also spread managed democracy for Super Earth, will release on February 8, 2024. That's a short hop back from its previous 2023 release date before we dive back into the tongue-in-cheek cooperative combat that the original Helldivers established.

Helldivers 2, a sequel no one was expecting, was revealed by Sony in May this year, three years after Arrowhead Studios teased they were working on a next-gen third person shooter. Sony have shown more of the game as part of tonight’s State of Play.
