Khayl Adam is the second best video game journalist Australia has ever produced, and his ambitions of world domination have (thus far) been curbed by the twin siren songs of strategy games and CRPGs. He has always felt an affinity for the noble dachshund, the best kind of dog.
I was really hyped for this game before launch, but the state it released was terrible.
This is the game that made me change the way I buy games. I won't get stung again.
If games don't release in a good state it's likely I will never play it as something else will come along and it's moment will have passed. I will never return to this game. I've moved on.
Platted this three times when it came to Plus Essential. Poor maps, poor modes (Hazard Zone, really?), all-around lacklustre. They must've lucked into a pod of microtransaction whales to still be going now.
I actually enjoy the despite its problems. Its not the best game but it's fun for a quick game. Plus, sniping someone 800+m away in the head is quite satisfying. Its definitely weaker and less detailed than other battlefield games (far less destruction, can't even shoot lights out, you don't leave tracks in the snow or mud and you don't make splashes running through water) which seems petty but it all adds to the immersion, but the games still quite fun. Have to remember that it was being made by one company and then switched to another half way through so they didn't have much time perfecting it
They really let the community down with Portal and the pitiful number of maps from BF3 and BC2 maps (a few 1942 maps as filler).
The guy who runs EA fills with me dread every time he talks about Battlefield. Incapable of pleasing anyone but shareholders
@DonkeyFantasy EXACTLY how I felt and still feel about this game. I have never been so ticked off about a game, as I was about the horrible, terrible, stinking, festering dumpster fire that was BF2042 at
