A detailed sketch of Murata's concept art has just emerged in the Genshin Impact community, though it may be a while until players see the Pyro Archon in an official capacity. Natlan is the next region coming to Genshin Impact, and while its exact release date is unknown, fans are expecting the Pyro Nation to open its doors to the Traveler in August 2024. Described as the land of dragons and war, Natlan remains one of the most mysterious places in Teyvat, as even Snezhnaya and Khaenri'ah are more familiar to players at this point.
Whereas Fontaine drew inspiration from French and British culture, Natlan is expected to have Mesoamerican influences, from the Aztecs to the Mayas, as well as some West African elements. However, Natlan will also draw from post-colonial cultures in Latin America, and this appears to be the direction that HoYoverse chose for the Pyro Archon in Genshin Impact.
A previous leak of Murata came with a description of her concept art, as well as a repurposed Jean emote – confirmed as true by most major sources in the Genshin Impact Leaks community. This time around, Team Mew shared an accurate sketch of the Pyro Archon's concept art, and fans can see the concept art for themselves on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. While Genshin Impact has dealt with controversy during the Lantern Rite in 2024, Murata's design has similarly split the community in half. Many players feel that the Pyro Archon's design is too reminiscent of a colonizer when viewed through the lens of pre-colonial cultures that Natlan is inspired by.
However, as the Pyro Archon and a god of war, others feel that the design only evokes the former theme, while completely disregarding the latter. Murata's current concept is more suited for carnivals and celebration, rather than the battlefield or the arena. Perhaps this is an intended thematic discrepancy that HoYoverse plans to toy with over the course of the story in Natlan. Given that the Archon Quests in Fontaine were beloved by Genshin Impact fans, HoYoverse does deserve some benefit of the doubt.
Though Murata's design is hardly set in stone, fans who were hoping for pre-colonial designs will likely appreciate upcoming Genshin Impact characters such as Xbalanque or Iansan, the latter of which made her debut in the Travail teaser. However, before HoYoverse properly moves onto Natlan content, Version 4.6 and its subsequent patches are expected to close out the story in Fontaine, while also offering a new glimpse into Khaenri'ah and its tragic fate. By contrast, Version 4.5 is expected to be a quiet patch, and is scheduled for release on March 13, 2024.

A Genshin Impact leak reveals gameplay for a world boss that will arrive in version 4.6. The Genshin Impact version 4.6 beta has recently begun, and meanwhile, many details regarding the upcoming content have surfaced online. According to these leaked details, Arlecchino will be added to the weekly boss rotation, and new golem enemies will appear in an underground section. Players barely know anything about these mysterious golems, as they weren't mentioned in a leak until a few days ago.
As beta testing for Version 4.6 continues, it would seem that Genshin Impact will be receiving numerous quality-of-life features in the upcoming patch. Though Fontaine has added its fair share of memorable characters to the Genshin Impact cast, and it has introduced new features such as underwater exploration, it could be argued that its evergreen quality-of-life changes have been a highlight in and of itself.
According to reliable sources, Version 4.6 in Genshin Impact will reveal a fair bit about Natlan during one of its main events. Though certain corners of Teyvat, such as Fontaine and Snezhnaya, have been extensively teased since the launch of the game, Genshin Impact has kept the Pyro Nation of Natlan shrouded in mystery. Bennett remains the only character in the entire game with ties to the region, and given that he grew up in Mondstadt, he has no useful information or special insight into his homeland and its current state of affairs.
Genshin Impact and Discovery Channel have announced the Teyvat Nature Discovery Tour, a joint initiative seeking to raise awareness about a number of fragile natural habitats. The collaboration comprises a Genshin Impact online event, an offline benefit sale, and a mini-documentary voiced by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and several other celebrities.
Genshin Impact is giving Cyno his second Story Quest in Version 4.6, but it may also be introducing a future playable character as well. Over the course of its history, Genshin Impact has proven to be no stranger when it comes to teasing upcoming characters through in-game content. Xianyun's human form was teased in the Lantern Rite a year before her official debut, and Charlotte made her first appearance in Version 3.7 despite joining the roster in Version 4.2.
With beta testing for Version 4.6 in full swing, a reliable source in the Genshin Impact community has revealed which characters will have Story Quests in the new update. Story Quests have been a steady way for Genshin Impact to tell individual stories concerning a character, reveal important lore about the world of Teyvat, or even introduce a new weekly boss. Version 4.6 is set to be one of the biggest content updates in Genshin Impact's history, as it will also launch with multiple Story Quests on top of the new zone and Flagship Event.
Genshin Impact is in beta testing for Version 4.6, and as a result, players can finally have their first glimpse into Arlecchino's idle and combat animations. While Version 4.5 has launched for Genshin Impact, the community is already anxiously awaiting the next patch. The reason for this is twofold: Version 4.6 will see the debut of Arlecchino, the third Fatui Harbinger to join the playable cast, and it will also take players to Remuria in the Sea of Yore.
Genshin Impact players can now have their first glimpse into the new zone of Remuria, located below the surface of Teyvat on a separate world map. While Version 4.5 is considered by many to be a quieter patch, Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact appears to be packed with new content. The update will mark the arrival of Arlecchino as a playable character, and will introduce two new artifact sets, a new world boss, and a new Trounce Domain near Mont Esus. More importantly, it will feature the third subterranean zone after Enkanomiya and the Chasm, which have traditionally been fan favorites.
Genshin Impact players can already start farming for Arlecchino, as her full ascension and talent material list has been leaked. Though artifacts tend to be the primary source of power in Genshin Impact, ascending a character to the level cap and upgrading their talents is still a worthwhile pursuit. To do so, Genshin Impact expects players to scour the lands of Teyvat and brave its domains to obtain the materials each individual character needs.
A Genshin Impact leak has revealed a roster of enemies that will be added to the Spiral Abyss mode in version 4.6. Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss is an endgame domain that features a number of combat stages. Clearing this domain is quite a challenge, as each stage is filled with formidable enemies that only well-rounded teams can beat.
According to rumors, Genshin Impact will be making the map of Teyvat whole again with Version 4.6, as it will feature the island town of Petrichor, Bayda Harbor, and the underwater ruins of Remuria. Though previous leaks have pointed towards Bayda Harbor and Petrichor as almost separate map expansions, it would appear that both claims may end up being correct. Genshin Impact has long teased this particular corner of Teyvat, and closing off the Fontaine update cycle with a zone featuring the ruins of a dead civilization is aptly fitting.
Genshin Impact is bringing two new Artifacts Sets in Version 4.6, and one of them seems to hint towards an upcoming Dendro character. Though not all ability kits are created equal in Genshin Impact and sometimes 5-stars such as Alhaitham and Neuvillette emerge on top of the meta, artifacts are arguably the main source of power for a Genshin Impact character. Artifact Sets such as Viridescent Venerer and Emblem of Severed Fate have long been a mainstay when it comes to team-building in Genshin Impact, but Fontaine and Sumeru brought a fair few heavy hitters as well.
