Genshin Impact Developer Announces New 'Amplifying Test' for Zenless Zone Zero

The rumored new boss event in 4.6 will challenge players’ abilities to survive longer encounters, according to a set of new leaks obtained prior to the update’s announcement. Version 4.6 is the next patch for the live-service action RPG and will introduce Arlecchino in as a playable unit, ending the long wait for her to stop being merely an important story NPC. While a lot of focus is on the Fatui Harbinger and her leaked story content, there have also been leaks about some of the side content in Version 4.6.

A new Genshin Impact has revealed information about a new character, Xbalanque, who is expected to join the roster after the release of the Natlan region. Since the Fontaine nation was released, every new update has introduced at least one new five-star character to the game.

Though the main appeal of Genshin Impact has always been its colorful cast of characters, fans also fell in love with the world of Teyvat and its lore. The format of annually traveling to different nations during the player's journey has allowed the developers to cleverly pace out the flow of content, and design character banners focused around each region of Teyvat.

Genshin Impact has officially revealed the second half Event Banners for Version 4.5, and to no one's surprise, Kaveh is once again missing from among the list of 4-Stars. Though Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact could be described as a quiet patch, with no new zones or artifact domains, its Flagship Event «Alchemical Ascension» has been incredibly popular among fans. Not only did it give players a chance to stock up on Primogems for a few extra pulls on Itto and Chiori's banners, but it also introduced a fun mini-game that many fans are hopeful becomes a permanent fixture of Genshin Impact in the future.

Genshin Impact could be switching out one of the currently unreleased Fontaine characters in favor of Sethos, who plays a major role in Cyno's second Story Quest. A fact that has certainly rung true for the region of Fontaine is that Genshin Impact is no stranger to making decisions on the fly, especially when it concerns its gacha system – most notably, the characters that find their way onto its Event Banners. This makes banner leaks especially important to the Genshin Impact community, and players try to keep themselves informed of any emerging changes.

We now officially know Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail developer HoYoverse’s upcoming urban gacha Zenless Zone Zero is coming to PS5, but the title’s third – and, presumably, final – closed beta test will not be available on Sony’s system. While the start and end dates of the next closed beta haven't been unveiled just yet, we do know that there's going to be a new character to play, a new faction, new missions, and overhauls to the game's combat and exploration.
