Adventure mode was one of my favourite things about Dwarf Fortress, mainly because it made the infamously complex management game more approachable by letting you play it like a more traditional roguelike. I'm excited, therefore, that Adventure mode is coming soon to the Steam version of the game, and excited even more so that it's aiming to make it even more accessible.
GeForce NOW Is Getting Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 Soon; Cloud G-SYNC and Day Passes Coming, Too

At CES 2024, NVIDIA announced several new games and features coming to its GeForce NOW cloud platform. First and foremost, following the addition of Call of Duty, GFN users can look forward to being able to play Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 soon, thanks to the agreement with Microsoft.
Both games will be supported in their Steam versions, though NVIDIA said Battle.net launcher support will follow at a later date. In addition to Diablo IV and Overwatch 2, GeForce NOW users will get CAPCOM's cooperative third-person shooter game Exoprimal on January 18.
HoYoverse's space fantasy roleplaying game Honkai: Star Rail is joining GFN as well, although no launch date indication was provided. Finally, the social sandbox MMO Pax Dei will be available to play via GeForce NOW when it launches (likely in a couple of years, at least, since it's still in Alpha testing). Ultimate subscribers will get to enable DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) via the cloud.
Beyond games, NVIDIA is also busy making the cloud platform more accessible to newcomers. Starting in early February, users will have the opportunity to buy Day Passes to try out the service before committing to month-long subscriptions. Day Passes have access to the same features as Priority and Ultimate members, including DLSS 3.5, Reflex, and ray tracing.
Moreover, NVIDIA said the Cloud G-SYNC functionality is coming soon to GeForce NOW. G-SYNC compatible displays will automatically modify the display's refresh rates to be synchronized with the streaming rate, minimizing latency and stuttering. Ultimate members will also be able to use Reflex support in up to 4K resolution and 60 or 120 fps streaming modes in games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Alan Wake 2.
One of the main benefits of a cloud platform is that it can be used anywhere, including on the go. GeForce NOW will introduce a 1440p resolution option on Android devices, improving the streaming definition on larger mobile screens.
Last but not least, NVIDIA is enabling GFN Ultimate memberships in Japan, where the company will begin operating on its own in Spring 2024 alongside GeForce NOW Partner KDDI. New datacenters are expected to go online soon in Poland, Chile, and Thailand.

Palworld gaming PCs are now a thing, and they’re a bit unnerving
Palworld arrived on Steam less than a week ago, but themed gaming PC builds are already showing up online. While you won’t need a fancy new graphics card to hit the critter collecting survival game’s recommended specs, the new line up by UK builder CCL Computers comes armed with a new gen Nvidia GPU and one of my favorite Intel i5 CPUs. Oh, and while I’m not really that into the look of Pocketpair’s uncanny pocket monsters, these machines are a weird blend of cute and unsettling.

Palworld update fixes blackscreen and controller bugs, but multiplayer issues persist on Game Pass
A new update for the PC Game Pass and Xbox versions of Palworld has fixed some of its many, many known issues today, but those hoping for some fixes to its online multiplayer options will sadly have to wait a little longer. Currently, those playing on Game Pass still don't have the ability to join or create dedicated servers for up to 32-player multiplayer like their mates on Steam can. Instead, they remain limited to just 2-4-player co-op via the use of friend codes, meaning that Game Pass players aren't having quite the same experience as their Steam counterparts.
