Forza Motorsport Update 4 To Add Iconic American Racetrack

Forza Motorsport's upcoming Update 4 will add Daytona International Speedway to the game, among other new cars and a new career tour. Capping off a solid 2023 for Xbox in terms of first-party game releases, Forza Motorsport launched in October to positive reception and will serve as a platform for ongoing updates for years to come.

As it's been six years since Forza Motorsport 7's launch in 2017, sim racing fans have been looking forward to Forza Motorsport (2023) for quite some time, with two critically adored Forza Horizon titles providing some arcade racing fun in between. As an ongoing platform title, Forza Motorsport launched with just enough cars and tracks to satisfy longtime fans, with the promise of steadily adding even more content in the future. Shortly after launch, Motorsport went on to win Innovation in Accessibility and Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2023.

Now, with Update 4 on the horizon next week, developer Turn 10 Studios has announced that one of racing's most iconic tracks is set to make its debut in Forza Motorsport. Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500, and one of the biggest stadiums in America, will be added as part of Update 4 on January 16. Forza Motorsport players will be able to burn rubber on two Daytona circuits: a 3.59-mile sports car circuit, and a shorter 2.5-mile tri-oval-shaped track. Turn 10 is also adding a Daytona Sports Car featured multiplayer series for players looking to further immerse themselves in the Daytona experience.

Update 4 of Forza Motorsport is looking to bring much more to the table next week. A new Career Tour named Italian Challengers will aim to take players on a ride through the storied history of Italian motorsports with cars like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, and a 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Each of the four new Italian Challengers tours will go live weekly, starting on January 18 with the All-Wheel Driven tour and ending on February 8 with the Prancing Power Ferrari tour. Additionally, Forza Motorsport Car Pass owners can look forward to four new cars coming weekly with Update 4: the 2019 McLaren Senna GTR, 2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE, 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, and the 2018 Cadillac #57 TA CTS-V.

Turn 10 added that bug fixes that are set to roll out with Update 4 will be revealed the day the update goes live, on January 16. Since Update 4 is focused on adding new content and events to Forza Motorsport, Turn 10 expressed that the list of bug fixes isn't as extensive, though fans can expect a more bug-intensive push with Update 5 later down the road. Until then, there are a ton of new experiences for Motorsport fans to enjoy.
