Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – Update 1.020 is Live, Improves Frame Rate and Graphics Quality

Square Enix has promised a fix for the issue that prevents players from acquiring a Platinum Trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth boasts one of the most extensive trophy lists on PlayStation 5, with challenges even the most seasoned players find hair-raising. However, it's not the difficulty of these challenges stopping people from acquiring the coveted Platinum trophy, but rather a bug.

Final Fantasy 14’s crossover with Final Fantasy 16, as teased last year, arrives tomorrow. Days after revealing the release date of the Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail expansion, Square Enix confirmed that fans can expect to hear more news about it during the next Letter from the Producer LIVE event on April 12 and 13. The upcoming Final Fantasy 14 broadcast is expected to touch upon Dawntrail news that was not covered at the March 23 PAX East panel.

Final Fantasy 14 just revealed the Final Fantasy 16 crossover event will begin on April 2, and will be available until May 8. Players will have just over a month to experience the collaboration event in Final Fantasy 14, and score some exclusive collectible items in the process.

Final Fantasy 16 could make the jump to other platforms once it launches on PC, at least according to some of the game’s developers. The latest mainline Final Fantasy game launched exclusively on the PlayStation 5 last June, but Square Enix has promised a PC port at a later date. So far, there is no official word on when the PC version of Final Fantasy 16 will be released, but producer Naoki Yoshida recently told fans that it is in the end stages of development and a playable demo should be forthcoming.

Though the game has been out for a while, developer Square Enix still intends to improve the experience for players of Final Fantasy 16 with a new update. The update will add several new features to the Final Fantasy 16 user interface, making things more convenient for players who like to tinker with their character builds.

Final Fantasy 14 producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed during a PAX East 2024 panel that its upcoming crossover quest with Final Fantasy 16 starts on April 2nd. It will be available until May 8th.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion will launch on July 2, Square Enix announced. Pre-orders will begin on March 26 and include three days of early access to the expansion on June 28, among other bonuses.

Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida and senior translator Michael-Christopher Koji Fox dropped several new details for The Rising Tide DLC. It’s out on April 18th for PS5, but that’s not the only content that Final Fantasy 16 fans can look forward to. The Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 16 crossover quest also goes live early next month.
