Amazon confirmed yesterday that the Fallout TV series will air at some point next year on Prime Video. The series' creators also revealed that it will be set in Los Angeles, where Vault 33 is located.
The Fallout TV series was announced over three years ago to be in development by Westworld creators and couple Jonathan Nolan (who is also known for his work on acclaimed movies and shows like The Prestige, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, and Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (also credited for Reminiscence and The Peripheral).
The series began production last year and ended filming in March. It stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Moten as regular cast members. The show will feature an original story rather than an adaptation of any of the games that have been released.
At Gamescom 2023, fans who attended the Starfield theater presentation were also treated to the first trailer for the Fallout TV series. This trailer won't be officially published online, Bethesda's Todd Howard (who's also an executive producer on the show) confirmed.
However, IGN shared the content of the trailer, which apparently featured the Brotherhood of Steel marching in a dusty desert setting while their signature Vertibird vehicles hovered nearby; several nuclear explosions going off; Vault 33 opening; and a first look at a ghoul character (presumably Walton Goggins).

Bad news for fans of trade events with an identity crisis: it looks increasingly like E3 will not happen in 2024 either. The ESA have informed the Los Angeles Convention Center, the event's traditional home, that it will not be hosting a show there next year, and events company ReedPop are no longer working with the ESA on future E3 events.
The future of E3 is continuing to look bleak, but the games industry has seen the emergence of another major summer event in the form of Summer Game Fest. The event has been running for four years at this point and seen quite a bit of success, and unsurprisingly, it will be returning for its fifth year in 2025.
With ReedPop no longer involved, the ESA is working on new plans to evolve and reinvent E3.
Months after plans for a revamped E3 fell through and the show was canceled, The Entertainment Software Association has ended its deal with event planning company ReedPop. The announcement also confirmed that there will be no E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2024, but hasn’t said E3 is completely canceled.
The owner of E3, the video game industry's most important annual showcase, has confirmed it currently has no organiser or location to hold the show in 2024.
Events company ReedPop has parted ways with E3 organiser the ESA, following the last minute cancellation of this year’s event.
It’s no secret that NEOWIZ’s Lies of P, a Souls-like action RPG set in Belle Epoque, has several weapons. Along with customizing weapons using the Weapon Assemble system, there are some unique choices. A new gameplay showcase is available to highlight the various options and how they work.
No one should have to go too long without new Star Trek, and thankfully Paramount agrees: A month after Strange New Worlds wrapped up season 2, Star Trek: Lower Decks is back with its fourth season to bring some wacky fun to the Federation (which, the rest of the Star Trek universe aside, the Federation could sorely use; they can get a bit self-serious).
What are the biggest TV shows and web series in September 2023? Sex Education season 4 leads the pack of new releases this month, alongside Gen V, a college-set spin-off series based on The Boys. Marking the final chapter in the lives of the Moordale Secondary's sex-obsessed gang, Sex Education returns September 21 on Netflix. Chase that down with a healthy dose of Compound V, as a group of gifted students at Godolkin University compete for the top ranking in Gen V. It premieres September 29 on Amazon Prime Video.
