Amazon's Fallout show features new characters never seen in the games before, and a completely unexplored vault. This new setting, Vault 33, is the home of our protagonist, Lucy. Her father, Hank, is the vault's overseer, so it'll be interesting to see what drives her from her home and into the wasteland.
We don't know much about Vault 33, but that could all be about to change. It's been announced that the Fallout show is getting a week full of teaser trailer promos, and it seems that they'll focus on this brand-new vault. One of these teasers has already been released, with overseer Hank giving us a brief rundown of the different locations in Vault 33.
These videos are being released via an Instagram channel, with the first one already available to anyone who joins from a link on the show's Twitter profile.
However, to save you from faffing around with all that, someone has already shared the teaser online. You can check it out below.
The voice we're hearing is that of Hank, the overseer played by Kyle MacLachlan. The video doesn't give away too many details about the show just yet, nor does it tell us what makes Vault 33 stand out from others. Fans of the games will know that most vaults were set up as social experiments, all with unique quirks, like a water chip that's designed to stop working, or a vault door that doesn't close all the way, letting in radiation.
So far, Vault 33 looks like your standard, all-American post-nuclear living space - complete with a radroach infestation. But of course, the whole point of Vault-Tec propaganda is that it's supposed to look too good to be true, so it probably has someone going on that we haven't seen yet. This might be hinted at later in the week, as more teasers are set to be shared on the Instagram channel.
On top of this news, Fallout's social media also shared new posters for the main three characters: Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul.
The Fallout show is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on April 12, so we're almost a month away from the big day. It will be spread across eight episodes. The first proper trailer was shown off last December, revealing that the show isn't shying away from the violence of the games.
