Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show has supercharged excitement in the Fallout IP, leading to a significant surge in player counts across a variety of Fallout titles on Steam, but also for Fallout London, a fan-created mod for Fallout 4 that may as well be an entirely new entry in the series due to the breadth and scope of the project.
Fallout London Indefinitely Delayed Due To Fallout 4 Current-Gen Update

The sudden reveal of the release date of Fallout 4's current-gen update has caused Team FOLON to indefinitely delay the Fallout London mod from April 23.
With the release of the Fallout series from Amazon going shockingly well and being viewed as one of the best gaming adaptations since The Last of Us, it's fair to say that Uranium Fever is hitting harder than ever for a lot of us. While we might not be getting a new game until after the next Elder Scrolls, we did at least have the game-sized Fallout London mod to look forward to at the end of this month.
Well, we did have Fallout London to be excited about, until late last night when it was confirmed by Team FOLON in an update video that the mod was going to be indefinitely delayed due to the release of the current-gen update for Fallout 4. Just a few days ago, Bethesda confirmed that the long-awaited current-gen update was going to be launching on April 26, which initially seemed like very good news.
While announcing the details of the PS5 and Xbox Series update for Fallout 4, Bethesda also revealed that an update was coming for PC on the same day, which will likely break a ton of mods and need them to be reworked in order to function with the new version of the game. This is undoubtedly going to affect a lot of the game's already-released mods, but it's also having an impact on those still in the works.
When the update was announced, Team FOLON posted on Fallout London's Discord page and suggested that it would have an impact on the mod's release date, something that has now been confirmed in an update video posted on the team's YouTube channel. In the video, project lead Dean Carter says that the update's sudden release has caused the team to indefinitely delay the mod so that it doesn't break it.
Carter reiterates in the video that Fallout London was purposefully going to be released on 23 April, St George's Day, as that's the in-universe day your character would walk out of the Vault in the mod. What a gut-punch.
Although it's sure to be a pain for the Fallout London team, Carter says that it's a good thing that Bethesda is keeping such an old game updated and bringing it up to speed for the current generation, but that the changes could impact the mod and need to be incorporated so that it runs like it should.
As a result, Fallout London no longer has a set release date, with Carter saying the fixes could take a week or they could take a month. As frustrating as it is to have such an anticipated mod that has been just on the horizon for the last few months suddenly get a delay, it's not Team FOLON's fault, and they're just playing with the hand they've been dealt by Bethesda.
